We actually made a 20min journey out of Emperia because of the menu and the reviews. We had a decent time, the massive church just next door was open with a charity sale (the only church we've been able to get inside in our time here, why are they all locked?) so that made a nice visit. Very friendly girls serving, English on the menu which is more than we deserve. But otherwise it was a bit lacklustre. The food was OK. We ordered bruschetta only to be told they'd run out. It was 19:45. But I think the biggest problem for us was the waiting. It must have been nearly half an hour for the starter, which was a mixed cheese and cold meats board. Unless they were waiting for the salami to age perfectly it seemed a bit hard to understand. After that the two seafood mains came. Not something you want to wait to get cold, so they tucked in, and were finished by the time the two pizzas came. So we ate completely separately. Not brilliant. On the other hand for three adults, a 10yr and 2yr old with a couple of glasses of wine no desserts it was under €70 so probably can't complain too much. It was good food, maybe we just didn't get them on...
Read moreThe service is really friendly, so no offense here, but the chef picked the wrong profession - the spaghetti carbonara should be called "pasta with scrambled eggs and bacon", because that is what you get. Antipasti plate was also not very good. During our stay in Asti, Porto Venere and Imperia this was by far the...
