Rated one star for rude reply to my comments. Very unprofessional reaction. I found this place to be a bit overrated and overpriced for what it offered. We came here after reading all the great reviews. When we arrived we had to wait for a while to get our menus, then waited another 20 minutes over our menus and empty table till one of us went in to check how long it would take to be served. The food wasn’t cheap compared to the places in the area, but it was not justifiably good either. The biramisu (tiramisu with beer) was not good, no beer flavour, biscuits inside too sweet, the cream grainy, we left it unfinished. The place definitely has the potential but needs some adjustments. The area is beautiful but cars were parked right in front of the few tables. The staff was very friendly. I would not...
Read moreBeautiful restaurant on the mountain, seemed delicious by reviews and local people. Starter cheese with salumi was amazing, nice bread, nice selection of cheese, peach, chutney and the salumi were nice. I got the sausage and polenta was amazing. My husband had the fresh pasta with porcini and mirtilli was small portion and not much flavor, mirtilli were frozen. My mom had the "elephant ear with purple potatoes, was very dry and the potatoes were also very dry. We had to ask for a tomato to make the meal a bit fresh. Maybe it should be like that but we didn't enjoy it much as it was a plate too dry. My husband is italian he said the same. Wine was nice, not expensive, we didn't get dessert but the pear grappa was nice.

Inventive yet traditional, the Golden Eagle deserves its accolades. Forest blueberries with porcini — who knew that this combination would work so well? Slender lamb kebab skewers, chewy and succulent. Goat's cheese ice-cream. The wine list is capacious, ranging from the affordably delicious to the stratosphere, while the menu is skinny. But who's complaining? Far better to cook a few things brilliantly than a lot of things poorly. You can take the bus too (not on Sundays). Three of us ate and drank to repletion for...
