Lumos Pub — Restaurant in Ercolano

We stumbled upon this place by chance. We were walking down the street, and the garden caught our eye. We went in and couldn't believe all the Harry Potter decorations in the garden. We walked in by chance and were absolutely amazed from the moment we entered; the decor is a dream for Harry Potter fans.

On the first day, we had an Aperol and loved it, but the best part was the people who work there. Special mention to Francesco and Davide. At all times, even knowing we weren't Italian and that maybe the language wasn't our strong suit, they bravely interacted with us and included us in the magic shows and contests as if we were regulars.

We returned the next day and had the cocktail from the picture, and the friendliness of everyone there made us feel right at home. They remembered our names, came to interact with us, and made sure we had a great night. I've mentioned Francesco and Davide because they were the youngest and we talked to them the most, but the woman we think was the boss or head of service was also an absolute gem, and we hope to see her in Spain. Also, a shout-out to the master of ceremonies who entertained us with the assassin game.

All in all, a 10 out of 10. You have to go, whether with your partners, your kids, or alone; it's the healthiest atmosphere possible.

Viaggio a Hogwarts e ritorno! Così si potrebbe definire la serata che ho trascorso ieri al Lumos Pub. Entrati in giardino con statue a grandezza naturale e decorazioni a tema, ci siamo subito sentiti proiettati nel fantastico mondo di Harry Potter. Dopo qualche attimo, il tempo di una foto, dei ragazzi gentilissimi con cravatte in stile divisa di Hogwarts ci sono venuti incontro e ci hanno accolto verificando la prenotazione e accompagnandoci dentro. Entrati nel locale, la febbre di Potter sale e sale e sale: Troll che sbucano dal muro, ritratti, cartelloni, decorazioni, oggetti di vario tipo (tra cui un pentolone magico con un mestolo che girava da solo) gadget sfiziosi, ti inebriano e gridano al bambino che è in te. Un gentilissimo "benvenuti" da parte di un signore dello staff e un attimo dopo ci si para davanti il Professor Piton che ci guarda e ci apostrofa con tono di superiorità: "Babbani". Le sale interne sono arredate in perfetto stile maghetto: su di noi le scale semoventi, le sagome dei personaggi a grandezza naturale, scope volanti, creature magiche e i quadri alla "Hogwarts", una citazione speciale va poi al bagno/ministero della magia, tutto da scoprire. Al tavolo ci accoglie Gianni Potter, un cameriere simpaticissimo e amichevole, pronto a giocare con noi, e che strizza sempre l'occhio al mood della serata. Il menù, elettronico, ha tante cose particolari e gustose, c'è davvero l'imbarazzo della scelta. Stavamo decidendo cosa prendere, quando in sala iniziano a sciamare alcuni dei personaggi dei film: il già citato professor Piton, la professoressa Cooman, il professor Lupin e Bellatrix Lestrange. C'è da dire che la somiglianza agli originali, oltre alla bravura nell'interpretazione, è strabiliante. Tutti, prima o dopo, si avvicinano ai tavoli e ognuno, secondo lo stile del suo personaggio, si intrattiene con gli ospiti. C'è anche lo smistamento nelle case con il cappello parlante, chi non spera di essere un grifondoro... Il servizio è stato rapido e il cibo si è rivelato essere all'altezza delle aspettative. Le portate hanno nomi a tema, ad esempio io ho iniziato con dei boccini d'oro, e proseguito con un panino Ron Weasley. Tutta la cena è stata un connubio perfetto di sapori, allegria e vita di Hogwarts: un mangiamorte in fuga, un dissennatore scacciato dagli ospiti, duelli di magia e lezioni di incantesimi. Se potessi darei più di 5 stelle, ne meritano 10 (e lode). È stato tutto veramente perfetto. Il servizio è stato veloce e simpatico: quando mi hanno portato i boccini d'oro, mi hanno avvisato che "tendono a volare via...". Il cibo è ottimo e soprattutto non comune, i prezzi sono nella media. L'allegria è l'ingrediente segreto. Consiglio davvero a tutti, anche ai non fan di HP, di andare al Lumos Pub e vivere questa esperienza. E' preferibile andare in settimana: noi ad esempio ci siamo stati di martedì. Il fine settimana è strapieno e non si possono fare prenotazioni. La prima volta siamo andati di venerdì ma c'erano talmente tante persone in attesa, che avremmo dovuto aspettare più di un ora e mezza per entrare. Ci tornerò di sicuro e voglio concludere facendo i complimenti a tutti i "protagonisti" di questa splendida serata: i camerieri, gli attori, i cuochi e uno particolare ai proprietari ideatori di questo "fantastico locale",...

The place is themed nicely and deserves to be praised. unfortunately the food does not match the decorations. we ordered ribs and they were possibly the worst ribs we have ever tried. Tough and chew and stuck to the bone. the smelled off like they had been cooked the day before and frozen and then reheated. refused to pay for the horrible ribs but said I would happily pay for the drinks and chips that we ate but the management refused to accept this and were rude and threatened to call the police. disgraceful behaviour from the management. they were very insulting and suggesting that we just wanted to not pay for the food. anyway we settled on paying for half of it and left. the waiter even suggested that if he felt the food was bad he would still pay the bill and just leave a bad review. so here you go here is your bad review. my son has a stomach ache form the...
