Ristorantino Pegaso — Restaurant in Erice

A pretty weird experience, truth be told.

First off, we are seated outside next to some broken windows with pieces of glass almost jutting out.

Then the owner comes with the menu. It's in Italian only, which is not a big deal of course. But as we try to discuss our choice we suddenly discover that two menus are different - some dishes only present in one of them, and then dishes that appear in both sometimes have different prices.

We order Trapanese-style pasta (10€ and 12€ in first and second menu, respectively), lasagna (8€ in both menus), ask for a bottle of water and a bottle of white wine.

Served us pretty fast. Pasta was good, lasagna tasted like those supermarket microwawed ones, wine was OK.

We ask for the bill and the owner brings us a slip of paper with a single line in Italian, 50€ next to it written by hand. So apparently a bottle of water and a bottle of wine cost 30€?

Was pretty late, we were too tired to argue, so we just left without tipping.

Do yourself a favor - avoid this place, walk 20 meters to the right into a little alleyway and have a good and way more reasonably priced meal in a proper...

Abbiamo scelto il PEGASO perché la serata è fredda e ventosa e non abbiamo proprio voglia di spostarci - in moto - dal Resort I Mulini (proprio qui di fronte) per andare a cenare in centro a Ragusa. Siamo un po' dubbiosi sulla bontà della scelta. Mah... Al nostro arrivo il dubbio è ancora di più alimentato dalle fantastiche promesse culinarie del proprietario, MASSIMO, che ci sembra un po' chiacchierone, come quei venditori di aria fritta che vogliono solo fregarti! Ma, attenzione, all'arrivo dei nostri piatti, giù il cappello! Tutte le promesse culinarie di Massimo si sono trasformate in realtà: cibo ottimo, fatto con materie prime freschissime (abbiamo mangiato pesce, pasta con le sarde, pasta allo scoglio, frittura mista, frittura di calamari, ecc.) tutto ben presentato, abbondante e saporito! Ma non finisce qui. In sala è presente anche ANGELA, una brava cantante ed animatrice, che armeggia con un piccolo impianto di amplificazione con tanto di microfono! Ma dai! Anche noi abbiamo nel nostro gruppo una cantante provetta, SIMONA! Ecco che parte la seratona, quella vera, indimenticabile. Tutti a cantare e a ballare in un'atmosfera che ad un tratto, come per magia, diventa sempre più allegra e familiare! Non c'è dubbio, il PEGASO è proprio quel ristorante che ogni viaggiatore spera di trovare durante il proprio viaggio, quel luogo in cui si trova cibo ottimo preparato con ingredienti poco comuni di questi tempi: abbondanti quantità di umanità, allegria e simpatia! This small family restautant is AMAZING. I WOULD GO BACK TO TRAPANI JUST TO EAT AGAIN THERE! The man is nice and friendly and he served us best mussels soup,carbonara and bruscetti. They kept us entertained and well aired at all times. It doesn't look very fancy,but the food is just lush! I highly recommend...
