This place is just incredible. Delicious, rustic Abruzzese food in a field in the valley beneath Farindola, ringed by the mountains. There are tables casually set up under the trees & great communal wooden ones with benches under a large wooden pergola. Charming vintage music plays in the background while birds chirps & goats bleat in the hills & friendly, happy cats stalk the dining area. My daughter and I stopped here for lunch on Sunday and it was wonderful! I live near by in Bisenti and this was my first visit to Farindola. Beautiful location near the river with indoor and outdoor seating. Unfortunately it was raining lightly so we ate inside but the food and house wine was excellent. Like many local Abruzzo restaurants it is light on vegetables but there are vegetarian options for the pizza and pasta. Enzo and the staff are very friendly and efficient and Enzo speaks English. Except originally open from 19.30, the owner made an exception for us, because of our kids(Dutch) and started cooking at 17.45. Before that she made contact with other restaurants to see if they were open already but they weren't. Because of all the trouble she went through for us alone, already 5 stars.
