Wow! What an experience.
Went out for dinner tonight to Me Gusta based on what I’d read on Google reviews and it did not disappoint! I had the pleasure of being served by Patriscio (Patrick) the owner, and what a delightful chap. Happy, helpful and available to explain everything needed…. A simple menu, with simple Italian staples and Patriscio was very proud of how everything was local except for the beer. And so much of it home made. From the desserts to the pastas to the limoncello… wow! I opted for the Entrecôte Argentino- €50/kg but remember. Who’s gonna eat a kg! I had a lovely 200g piece along with a delicious jacket potatoe which had simple olive oil, salt and pepper. Initially I thought this would be bland… but it wasn’t at all. Every bite was delicious and flavoursome! Tasting the real flavours of the food.
I then opted for a dessert rather than more meats… and was recommended the home made ‘Beeramasou’ and wow! What a treat. Delicious… not too sweet…with a lovely cake base amongst the cheesecake and cream… and chocolate sprinkle… hmmmmm and to finish it off…. I wanted to try the chocolate alcohol shot, but Patriscio told me they had just run out. A few moments later he offered me a home made limoncello. But then left a whole tray of spirits of differing flavours and said help yourself! What hospitality… I had a little sip of each of these bottles …. Wow! Ginger, watermelon, aloe flower, walnut, and another one I can’t recall…. But all with amazing home made flavours!!! And so potent!
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place. The hospitality is second to none and the food is raw, authentic and delicious! Hmmmm. Yes pls!
(I forgot to mention the fresh bread on the table in a bag. For freshness as soon as I arrived plus the veggie bitings… all appreciated and delicious!)
Amazing value for money!
Thank you Patriscio for your hospitality and when I return, I will be back again! Video review to...
Read moreWow, what an experience! Absolutely amazing. We ordered the antipasti starter to share, a really exciting and mouth watering range of dishes arrived. We then shared a steak for main, it was spectacular, we all agreed this was the nicest steak we have ever tasted by far. The baked potatoes that accompanied it were sublime. The house wine is superb too. It is very clear that Patriscio and his team really care about the food and the experience they give to their guests, their enthusiasm was clear to see. It felt like we were eating with friends. To add, value for money was great too, when considering the quality of the produce and the love and care used to cook it, its pretty much a bargain. Thankyou Patriscio, we will be back! Thankyou for the post meal...

Lovely restaurant with a serious love for meat—so if you’re into that, you’re in for a treat. The homemade pasta was delicious, clearly made by someone who knows what they’re doing. Everything felt genuinely farm-to-table, not just for show.
Service was top-notch, especially thanks to Patrice, who went above and beyond—offering us homemade liqueurs and a surprise chocolate drink that definitely had a kick (and probably a decent alcohol content). Friendly, generous, and just the right amount of extra. Ah don’t forget to try the beer tiramisu and...
