Ristorante l'Agrumeto — Restaurant in Fasano

This is our second opportunity to dine here. We found this restaurant while traveling to Fasano from Ostuni. What a find!!!! I remembered how wonderful everything was the last time so we tried it again. This time we got to eat outdoors on a beautiful August evening in a garden under the grape arbor. How romantic and beautiful. The Cozze gratinate was delicious, the whole Orata prepared perfectly by the kitchen and deboned tableside was amazing. My favorite was the Linguini with Lobster roe. I am still dreaming about it. The service was friendly and efficient. We were there on a Saturday evening and we would suggest reservations. The Maitre D spoke English and was so helpful with all his suggestions. He suggested a wonderful wine, and we loved it. I cannot wait to return here. It is close to Ostuni. Fabulous food. Restaurant recommended by our hosts of the trullo we are renting for 5 nights near Martina Franca. We came for lunch and my mixed antipasti for 16 euros was delicious and interesting. I had the mixed fish dish next ( frittura mista) for 13 euros. My husband had the prosciutto and melon (12 euros) and the tagliata di Manzo ( 15 euros), he also had the insalata mista for 3 euros which was wonderfully fresh. Our 500 ml vino casa ( rose to go with my fish and his meat dish) for 4 euros was very good considering the price. Very good quality food at affordable prices and obviously very popular with the locals as evidenced in the family groups arriving for lunch. Mercifully no tourists which means the authenticity of this place is confirmed. Highly recommended if you are near Martina Franca/ Locorotondo/ Alberobello/...

Abbiamo prenotato per due (ore 20 circa), ci hanno fatto accomodare al tavolo vicino al caminetto. Ambiente curato in stile rustico. Abbiamo ordinato antipasto misto della casa che è risultato molto abbondante (parliamo di circa 12 portate misto mare e terra) e due primi: trofie radicchio e scamorza e troccoli con asparagi vongole e pomodorini. Le porzioni dei primi sono state sicuramente abbondanti e sopratutto molto buone! Menzione speciale al titolare che ci ha personalmente accolti e serviti consigliandoci un ottimo vino al calice (Negramaro di puglia) ed in più, cosa del tutto inaspettata, è venuto ad offrirci del tartufo nero da grattugiare sul piatto di trofie! E dulcis in fundo, come dessert (non compariva esattamente così nel menù) ci ha composto, su richiesta, un'ottima portata mista di dolci fatti in casa, uno più delizioso dell'altro: tiramisù, panna cotta al lampone, pandorino con crema mascarpone, tortino al cioccolato, semifreddo al torroncino. Il tutto presentato in maniera molto accattivante (vedi foto). Servizio al tavolo molto cortese e puntuale, con speciale menzione al gestore del ristorante. L'ulteriore nota positiva di chiusura è stata il conto! Solo 45 euro in due!

Consigliatissimo, specie se volete fare buona figura ed apprezzare sino in fondo l'ottima cucina pugliese.

E' vero, il locale è un pò fuori mano; armatevi di GPS o fatevi consigliare la strada dalla gente locale (tanto lo conoscono tutti), ne varrà...
