We went as a family for Lunch. After a very impressive starter, we had a main course with freshly cooked pasta with seafood, followed by freshly grilled fish. The restaurant relies on local produce and whilst there, we did notice a delivery of freshly caught fish. The restaurant also has an impressive selection of local and italian wines, both red and whites. A must is, after the meal, a sip or two of the locally produced Amaro del Boss, with a liquorice and mint aftertaste . Great credit goes to Anna and her husband Francesco, the owners who respectively manage the kitchen and the restaurant floor. Il dado matto è una piacevolissima scoperta. Una piccola enclave di cucina ricercata e genuina nel panorama della ristorazione. Il locale si trova a Favara, in posizione facilmente raggiungibile. Appena entrati siamo stati accolti da Francesco, il gentilissimo e cordiale proprietario. Ci ha fatti accomodare e dopo averci lasciato qualche minuto per sistemarci è subito venuto a illustrarci il ricco e variegato menù. La cifra del locale è un'idea precisa del cibo, partendo dalla materia prima selezionata e di qualità per arrivare alla preparazione ed alla presentazione dei piatti. È palese come tutto sia studiato per garantire al cliente quanto di meglio la Sicilia abbia da offrire. Gli accostamenti di sapori ed ingredienti sono ricercati, tutto è volto ad esaltare sapori ed accarezzare il palato. Una meritata menzione d'onore se l'è guadagnata la cantina. È semplicemente smisurata ed impressiona in modo estremamente favorevole per la varietà ma soprattutto per la qualità dei vini presenti. Fa veramente piacere incontrare realtà come questa. What a great experience! The host was so welcoming and this was our favourite experience in Sicily by far! We even ended up buying the olive oil and prosecco cause it was so good. The food was amazing and the service was great. We came in the middle of the afternoon and we were the only customers and they still served us with a lot of love. One of the highlights...
