Ristorante La Casona — Restaurant in Feltre

Went here on my way back from hiking the Alta Via 2. Did not feel welcome at all. I was put into a corner, served pretty much as fast as they could in order to, what it felt like to me, get me away as quickly as possible. Staff was constantly eyeing me, so my meal wasn't very comfortable.

I mentioned this to the lady who served me, but she denied and said it was for some other reason having to do with reservations or something, so not denying the fact they wanted me to get out of there asap. Not wanting to go into an argument I politely ended the conversation and went on. The locals were also looking at me in a not very friendly way. And it wasn't like I was looking like a homeless after hiking for several days, but whatever.

I stayed for some days in this hotel. ||It was fantastic!||Good value for your money and, according to me, more than 3 stars.||The hotel is new with a big parking in front of it and a garage underground that is free, you can access with your room key.||Is is very near to the city center, you can reach the center of Feltre in 10 minutes walking along the river.||||The personnel was very kind and the rooms are very clean and quite big.||They changed our towels everyday.||||Breakfast is in the nearby restaurant (it is the restaurant of the hotel) was very good even if the salted part can be improved.||The restaurant itself is very good and cheap.||||At the end it is a good place to stay to spend a relaxing holiday near Feltre and can be a good starting point to visit the...

Arrived in Feltre to take my wife to the hospital. She had shattered her elbow in a bike accident. The wonderful staff at Hotel la Casona welcomed me like a family member or friend. Complete kindness and understanding. They looked after everything I needed. Directions, advice, taxi rides, even reminding me to eat while worrying about my wife. The room was great. Clen, spacious, and with a lovely view of the mountains plus a friendly goose in the garden across the street.|Some people travel for the sights, Feltre has them.
