Firstly, I'd advise you to look at the TripAdvisor reviews for this restaurant (you'll find it under "Il Segreto", it's name pre-rebrand) and the unprofessional responses of the owner. This will give you a good sense of the customer service that you're in for!

Now for my review - my partner and I visited Il Segreto for the last meal of our holiday, it was a disappointing end to the trip.

From the outset things didn’t seem right, the restaurant was eerily empty, with only 5 tables occupied. Despite this, the head waiter seemed out of his depth.

Following ordering a glass of red wine each, the waiter returned with one glass. After asking if the second glass was coming, he confrontationally responded with “I asked you twice, you said one”…. A good start.

For mains we ordered a pizza and a pasta to share. The pizza came out after 15 minutes (perfectly timed and tasted great). After waiting 5 minutes to start we were told that the pasta was delayed as it was given to the wrong table (there were 7 occupied tables at the time). 25 minutes later and the pasta finally appeared. We had finished the pizza and were digesting the attitude with which the wine order was approached by the frazzled and confrontational waiter, only to realise that the pasta was cold (despite being made “as fast as possible” following the earlier mistake). Despite the fridge-like temperature of the pasta, the flavours were good.

Overall, I’d recommend avoiding and visiting one of the well reviewed local spots. There’s no excuse for rude service, or putting up with the attitude of this owner who abuses...

Os pongo en contexto, llegamos a las 21:00 hs en la terraza exterior con vista al mar, había 3 mesas con gente. Y observamos el 1° error feo, la gente sentadas y las mesas reservadas con cojines tanto en el respaldo como en el asiento, nos destinan un asiento y nos dicen que no tienen mas. Decidimos seguir adelante,… pedimos la comida y 2° error grave ….los platos vienen con una diferencia entre 8’ y 10’ minutos entre uno a otro. 3° error grave y feo, nos cobran 4€ de cubierto y no nos sirven pan, 5° error, la pizza de 4 Formaggio no tenia queso, literal. Es cierto que vengo de un país como España, y que no se entienda mal de verdad lo que voy a decir, mis abuelos italianos y tengo nacionalidad italiana, pero quizás el problema que vengo de un país que se come de verdad, lo que se hace se hace bien y al turismo se le cuida demasiado, no por nada la mejor cocina del mundo y mediterránea. Pero bueno, no pretendo que Italia sea mejor o peor que otras, pero si pido una simple pizza ( que lo único bueno de la pizza de italia es que se hace con horno de leña) que por lo menos que sea con los ingredientes que pido !!!4 QUESOOSSS!!! Me pa como sin hacer el problemas, aunque me asegure Y le pregunte al encargado si lo que me sirvieron tiene 4 quesos y me dijo que si. Llego la hora de pagar y la cuenta era de 106€, le he pagado con 110€. Estuve 25’ esperando el vuelto hasta que llame a un camarero y me dice que no tienen para devolver en monedas por eso decidieron quedarse con el vuelto. Ahi ya me puse serio y también algo alterado, finalmente me devolvieron los 4€ gracias al camarero llamado Momo, el único, que ademas de cocinero, tuvo que salir a la terraza a echar una mano, por que los que estaban atendiendo eran unos impresentables. Uno de los encargados (rubio, gordito e impresentable) me escucha hablar con Momo y no le quedo mas remedio que acercarse a la mesa y me pregunta que es lo que había pasado, y le conte realmente lo sucedido, resumen? Que es cierto que vengo de España se come de verdad y aquí todavía no salieron de la posguerra pero que una cosa es que lo que sirvan de comer sea una porquería y otra cosa distinta sea que no atiendan bien al turismo, al fin y al cabo Cerdeña vive exclusivamente del Turismo!!! Y no se nota en ningún rincón de la isla. En resumidas cuentas después de la charla del encargado, que a las 21:00 hs cuando me senté le pregunte si hablaba español me dijo que nó, solo italiano e ingles… y cuando a las 23:30 hs le empece hablar mi mujer empezó a traducirle en ingles me dice que el español lo habla poco pero lo habla y lo entiende perfectamente. Es decir que me tomo el pelo al entrar a comer. Bueno volviendo al final, le comente todo lo que había pasado, me despache a gusto y espere un lo siento, os pido disculpas… y solo me dijo ya esta? Si le dije me dijo gracias buenas noches. Este es el resumen de la atención en lineas generales en Cerdeña. Un desastre!!!! Este lugar no es recomendable en absoluto. No le pongo menos de una estrella por que no le dejan google. Me sentía mal de no dejar propina del 10% de la consumición como es costumbre en mi, por que al fin y al cabo soy un trabajador y me gusta premiar al trabajador como me gusta que me valoren a mi cuando hago las cosas bien.
