My family and I came to eat here as we had driven past it to and from our accomodation is San Giovanni Valdarno. Wow. The service - incredible. The atmosphere - incredible. The staff - incredible. The food - delicious! My family and I wanted to eat something different other than the typical Italian pizza and pasta. I certainly recommend this diner especially if you’re after something American style and different! You will not be disappointed. For dinner we each had a classic burger meal, and for dessert we had the original cheesecake with Nutella sauce and a chocolate milkshake. Everything was really good. This adorable place is so perfectly on theme, I think it beats just about every 50's diner I've ever been to in the States. Waitresses are on roller skates, even though there's no drive-up here, but it's fun (for diners; maybe less so for the servers themselves). Soundtrack is a perfect assortment of early rock 'n' roll classics. The menu is many pages long. You can satisfy just about any US food craving from burgers to doughnuts to hot dogs to milkshakes. 1950 American Diner is a chain of restaurants where typical American dishes are served. The restaurant is furnished with objects, tables and chairs typical of the 50s. I've eat in this restaurant so many time and I can say that the food is really good and also cheap. They serve hamburgers, tacos, sandwiches, bagles, salads and wraps of all kinds: normal, vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free. Also cakes and milkshakes are very good.
