Focaccia e Caffè — Restaurant in Finale Ligure

The quality of the staff depends on the shift. Around early lunch time it was very friendly and super welcoming, "italian style". In the evenings it was a different style (less friendly). The waitress promised us a specific table (pointing at it clearly). Then when we arrived she already gave the table to an Italian family. We had to sit next to the hot pizza oven. No sorry or comment. Just switched the name plates on the tables ice cold. The pizza I liked. Well made. Others (again Italian) received a free espresso (I heard when paying). The waitress didn't ask us after the food.

Other than that we really liked the place and we came often at lunch time. The food is nice. Good concept. Prices are ok too. Staff in the evenings to be improved. Then...

We went to order pizzas at 8pm. The two waitresses refused to serve us, even as a takeaway, saying that they couldn't serve us before 11pm. However, they served the customers in front of us and the customers behind us, but they had ordered in Italian (we in English). We asked to make a reservation for the following evening and the only waitress who spoke English said that wasn't possible either, even though she had taken the reservation of two other people who spoke Italian. Focaccia, pizza e brioches al top della qualità, sia per quanto riguarda la selezione delle materie prime, sia per il fatto che sono di produzione propria ed artigianale. La focaccia è quella vera ligure, la pizza è davvero ottima e nelle brioches, fortunatamente non troppo dolci come purtroppo in certi posti capita, si sente la qualità sia della pasta che del ripieno. Il valore aggiunto è dato dalla proprietaria, la Sig.ra Liliana, che è di una gentilezza, accoglienza e generosità che lasciano davvero senza parole. E' possibile prendere per asporto oppure consumare in loco. All'interno del locale, che si trova a pochi passi dal mare, trovano infatti posto anche alcuni tavoli con sedie dove ci si può fermare per mangiare o anche solo per fare colazione.
