We get here a few minutes before opening so it's understood they won't seat us. We go into the Parco Leonardo mall and walk around for a bit and return well after opening time. Two for inside we request, one of the guys sitting around goes in and returns 30 seconds later and tells us it'll be still 10 minutes more. We turn around and decide not to patronize this establishment. We hear snickers as we walk away. In my limited time dining at Italian restaurants I'm not going to spend my money at places that don't respect my time or money. My response to the owner: This was my first visit to Italy. My partner and I loved the country and hope to return to see more of it. I don’t know if this is exclusively an American saying but I believe its meaning is universal. “When in Rome, do as the Romans do.” The way I practice this axiom is to keep my eyes and ears open, be respectful, and adapt to the local customs. With the exception of La locanda dé Nonna, I was treated wonderfully in your country. I checked two resources, Google and Yelp, before arriving at your restaurant, both say you open at 7:30 pm (19:30). When I made my request for an inside table, it was well after your stated opening time of 7:30. I don’t think you would have 2-3 rude waiters sitting around if you did not anticipate serving customers? Or maybe you should change your hours to 20:00 – 22:00? I believe that it is La locanda dé Nonna that needs to learn to respect their potential customers, tourist or not. After all you are located outside of the huge Parco Leonardo shopping mall, one train stop from FCO….

The restaurant only serves Italian menus, probably because most of the customers are locals. I can't read Italian very well, so I picked two dishes at random. One is Tonnarello and another one is Trippa alla Romana. The first dish was Trippa alla Romana which, honestly, tasted really good, especially with bread. The second dish was the Tonnarello, yes the mushrooms were fragrant and looked delicious. However, after taking a few bites, I realised that something was wrong that the pasta was mixed with huge sharp broken glass. The broken glass hurts my mouth and makes me feel so sick and depressed. The waiter quickly took the dish and asked if I needed another. I refused and tried to communicate with them, but apparently English doesn’t work that well here. So I left the restaurant and they didn't charge me anything. To be honest, this meal ruined my mood tonight. I don't know how the broken glass gets mixed into the ingredients, but I really hope this restaurant take this seriously. This restaurant has a 4.7 rating which is the reason why I chose this restaurant. The taste of the dishes is not bad, BUT obviously, there is still a huge room for improvement in the hygiene of the kitchen.

Just delicious, I was surprised how good the food is in this out of the way area near the airport. We are staying here before flying out tomorrow. There is a small menu of suburb dishes based around seafood. I was impressed with the small menu because it usually means they care about what they do. We had two pastas, one with crab that included a whole crab hidden under the pasta and a shrimp pasta with 4 large shrimps that were expertly and deliciously cooked with love and care. The chef made a delicious apple and creme patisserie pastry for desert to top off a lovely evening. The food was GOOD! Seriously please go you wont regret it.

I went to this restaurant as I lived nearby last day in Rome and google says it's highly rated.

Well, fairly speaking, don't expect too much as you might expect any 4.5+ marks restaurant. The food is just ok, the decoration is just ok, the reception young man is not welcoming at all and might trick you!! If you wanna a good Rome experience, stay away from this restaurant!!

When I went in, there are one staff, a young man standing at the reception desk, very slow in welcoming guest and bringing menu. Later a waiter come in and tell there is only one menu on the wall which is all in Italian. Then I ordered by showing online pics but none of the 3 pasta I showed was on serve that day. The waiter is nice to help me order sth similar, and I remember he said it's the second item on the menu which is 8 Euro.

But when I pay at the reception, the young man showed me a receipt of 14 Euro, I was a bit surprised of what is that 6 Euro changed for? but the young man is not good at English at all, so I didn't ask anything. But when I give him 20 Euro, he gave me changes of 6 Euro, all in 20 cents and 10 cents. I really didn't take it as a fuss, until lately I heard too many stories saying "yeah that's what rural Italian do to tourist"......

Time in Rome was good, except this one. Would like to go to Rome again but do hope such restaurants could consider providing an English menu, and reception staff to at least learn few catering...
