This place turns out incredible dishes simply said. It was my favorite meal over a month long trip in Italy that included stops in Milan, Como, Varenna, Torri De Benaco, Sirmione, and Venice.

We ate here two times and recommend calling ahead and make reservations.

I will start with the most basic of things their bread is truly incredible. Weird to start with, but the consistency of food rings true throughout each dish we had starting with the bread.

The restaurant will break dishes up into half portions - In this way we did a five course tasting with a wine pairing for dinner.

We had a their daily salad that which was an assortment of fresh vegetables and greens with their own dressing. Basic sounding yes, but you will want to order it again. Each vegetable was prepared to enhance each other.

We were treated to have the stuffed eggplant flowers. These are both visually and gastronomically delightful.

The waitress recommended the local spinach stuffed ravioli. The spinach flavoring isn’t overpowering and the pasta is amazingly thin and the paired sauce is delightful.

We then moved onto a roasted onion dish with yogurt over crunchy nuts and bread crumbs. Again, basic description incredible execution. The dish is so unique that is reminiscent of dessert in a very good way. My wife said it is one of the best dishes ever in her life.

We were then presented pasta ragu - one traditional with red sauce with a medley of meats and another in a cream based one with mushrooms. These two dishes have ruined me as it will be difficult to get something like it again.

The restaurant then gave us their house speciality roasted duck. One will be very hard pressed to find a dish that balances flavors or the charred crust of the duck maintaining the moistness and balanced with a savory sauce.

The dessert we had was a red pepper gelato, which was not spicy, but rather wonderfully rich in favor. If you’re a fan of red peppers it is totally worth it.

The service was impeccable from arrival until departure. This restaurant was our best meal out of a month long voyage across...

We had a 3-course meal here in the evening. We were greeted by one person and taken to the table. Another presented the menu verbally, which was unfortunate. Difficult for the guests to remember 10+ different courses in their head. Luckily the menu was also available by scanning a QR code. A third person came to the table to present the wines. So up until here it seemed like a professional place. I ordered the stuffed zucchini flower, which was ok, but nothing that really excited my palette. The second course, tagliatelle with ragu was good. The pasta seemed freshly made. The main course, duck, was a real disappointment. The duck was overcooked for the majority of the meat , and the second you do so, the dish is ruined. The meat becomes unpleasent to eat. My company ordered the lamb, which was so overcooked the surface was charred and the inside was grey completely through. Considering there were three people greeting you, when arriving, one would think the resturant was more professional than what came out of the kitchen. The food did not live up to the expectation. Therefore the food wil only get 2 stars, and the total experience, 3 stars. Hopefully they will take this critic in good will and correct their mistakes for...

Lets start with the good: The service was 5*and the wine was good unfortunately thats already it.

I tried 6 different dishes, all not more than 2* The worst was the risotto (primo). The consistency and the level of cooking was on point, but the taste was so awful. Closely followed by the pumpkin (secondo). Below the pumpkin the put a base of a cheesecake (too sweet) and on top a sauce which creates 0 balance. I wonder who came up with this idea.. The onion (starter) arrives with a crumble, which feels like sand in the mouth. Like little rocks you can’t chew it, same thing was used in the cookies (dolce), Tagliatelle with mushrooms, was ok. But too less mushrooms and way to less pasta. Especially if you compare with the amount of the risotto.

On top of this: completely overpriced and I went home with nausea, because of the disgusting risotto.

Overall, waste of money. In setting which...

The service was impeccable and the food was exquisite. We had the fixed menu of the day with delicately prepared zucchini flowers followed by asparagus with a lightly fried egg, ravioli with poppy flower and pasta bolognese (peas for me as I am a vegetarian). I would travel to this region just to eat at this restaurant again. They asked before bringing out the food if anyone had any allergies or any foods they didn’t eat. Our server was very attentive and spoke excellent English (he had amazing hair but I can’t remember his name). Anyways if you visit the region for a wine tasting or just a visit stop at this restaurant to eat and you won’t regret it.
