Ristorante Pizzeria Il Nostromo — Restaurant in Gaeta

One of the most uncomfortable experience I had in such a long time. We booked at 8:30pm and we were asked to wait for 45’ standing outside the restaurant with no clear answers from the staff about what we were supposed to expect. Many people were forced to gather outside the restaurant while waiting to get in and not all of them was wearing masks which made everything really uncomfortable... After a long wait we were brought in a very crowded area where our table was not set yet... When we sit there were people smoking near us as well as a very bad smell of animals coming from some bushes behind our table. The service was awful.. mainly because of the huge amount of people that were hosted versus the staff available in the restaurant. Food was a lot but not good at all... perfectly in line with the rest of the experience. I was so embarrassed with my guests that I felt the need to apologize for it. Very low, low...

ATTENZIONE! Sono stato presso il ristorante nostromo insieme ad altre 5 persone. Dopo esserci seduti, ci vengono dati 2 menu su 6 persone. Alla richiesta di un'altro menù sono stato completamente snobbato. Una volta scelti gli antipasti e i primi (tutti diversi), chiamiamo il cameriere per iniziare. E' arrivato senza carta e penna e ci ha chiesto di dirci i piatti. Una volta comunicati tutti i piatti ci guarda con faccia preoccupata e affranta. Probabilmente ricordare 12 pietanze non è facile, per questo esistono strumenti per scrivere e ricordare. Dalla preoccupazione abbiamo chiesto al cameriere se dovevamo prendere tutti la stessa cosa al fine di agevolarlo (ironicamente parlando) e con finta tranquillità ci dice che non ci sarebbero stati problemi. Arrivato l'antipasto iniziano i problemi. Pesce completamente congelato! Le alici erano adagiate su crostini vecchi e duri (nessuna bruschetta), il salmone era stato marinato con cosi tanto aceto da non sentire il gusto del pesce mentre il polpo e seppia erano accettabili. Ma il vero orrore arriva con i primi. Il mio gradito spaghetto ai frutti di mare arriva in un piatto concavo enorme. Non ho mai visto cosi tanta pasta e frutti di mare, credo saranno stati 150-180gr di pasta. Il mio entusiasmo però si trasforma pian piano in una delusione inaudita. La pasta era stata riscaldata. Mi spiego. La pasta era stata cotta diverse ore prima, forse in mattinata e dopo averla conservata, era stata presa e saltata insieme al sugo e impiattata con i frutti di mare. In tanti anni non avevo mai visto uno schifo simile in cucina. Ho provato a mangiare qualche forchettata, ma dopo un pò il sapore di "spaghetto riscaldato" si è fatto sentire e ho dovuto lasciare. Ho poi assaggiato le penne al salmone ed era praticamente una panna allungata con tantissima acqua e un pò di salmone mentre la pasta con le melenzane era accettabile. Non capisco davvero, chi dice che qui viene servito pesce fresco e di ottima qualità. L'unica cosa che troverete saranno prezzi normali e porzioni abbondanti.Se non avete gusto e vi basta riempire lo stomaco ve lo...

I went last night with a group of friends. It was our second time here and it was awful. They were completely understaffed. It took 20 minutes just to get a menu, we had to basically yell across the restarting to get someone over to order wine, half the food didn’t come until 40 minutes after the first half of my group got their food, and when it came to paying and wanting to split the bill the cashier made it seem like it was the biggest inconvenience of her life and started talking about us in Italian as if we didn’t understand what she was saying.
