Le Cicale Bistrot — Restaurant in Genoa

We might be foreigners, but we lived in Italy for several years and by now we have we know what things should taste like. Acid burrata, precooked focaccia, and soggy fried fish it's not our thing. From previous reviews I could hardly believe that I was eating at the same restaurant, dinner 2022. We where a table of six people and had all sort of different things, such as: focaccia, fried anchovies, avocado with fish tartare, pesto pasta, pizza delle rose (with anchovies, tomatoes and burrata cheese), no dessert as no one really felt giving it a chance. The prices are way above the quality that is being served. The service is very unorganized. There are better options...

Le Cicale Bistrot in located in the rather chic neighborhood of Albaro and my aperitivo place of choice right now. It's situated on a lazy looking piazza in the shade of a rather pretty church tower. Chairs and tables outside probably take up half of the sidewalk however you could choose to eat indoors, I haven't actually had any food here expect for the generous aperitivo snacks but I can vouch that the cocktails and wine menu is truly excellent. Locale molto carino e scenografico in una bella piazzetta ad Albaro. Ad una cena di compleanno ci sono stati portati degli antipasti misti composti da focaccia dura con prosciutto, focaccia con acciughe, dei carciofi impanati e degli gnocchi fritti con stracchino. Nel complesso direi decente. Non si può dire lo stesso per le bollicine: il bianco non era mio parere adeguato. Quello che mi ha più deluso è stato il galletto con le verdure saltate. Prendo spesso il galletto quando vado al ristorante e nel 100% dei casi viene portato un galletto intero (così come se c è scritto orata o trota il pesce deve esser portato intero). Nel piatto avevo invece una coscia ed un pezzo di petto. Per me è inaccettabile e truffaldino, la descrizione sul menù è errata se non fossi stato in compagnia avrei sicuramente mandato indietro il piatto. Prezzi adeguati agli standard attuali.
