Osteria Cadevilla — Restaurant in Genoa

I went there today with my wife. I saw the good reviews and I thought that it could be a great way to celebrate her birthday while we were in town. The food was very good. But the reason I am placing a 2-star, and NOT recommending this restaurant is because of the rude staff, in particular the “host” that “greeted” us with a bad attitude because we dared to came a little earlier than the reservation. Since we entered, this “host” was rude, telling us why we were early, and telling us to wait until they open the kitchen. Waiting would be ok. Saying it in that tone, is not. Although other waiters were more professional and tried to help, by the time the check came in, she was back with the very same attitude, which could be summarized as “…you are not welcomed here…”. So, we will certainly not be back. And we recommend to whoever reads this to not even bother trying it. There are great places to eat well and have great experiences while in Genoa’s Osteria Cadevilla is not...

Rudest waitress we've ever experienced. From the moment we walked in and were clearly not Italian, the waitress was hostile, showed us no curtesy and was unhelpful accessing the online menu when a hard copy was available. Wine was opened and left by the table. Other customers had theirs poured to taste. We requested plates (group of 4 two being children) to eat the bread and we 'thrown' a single plate. This time I didn't take photos of the food 🤦🏽‍♀️. It is a tipical Ligurian restaurant, less than 10 minutes walk from Sturla train station, and 3/4 from bus stop. There's a parking lot in front of it. Acoustic is not good, small place and very loudly.
