Oltremare dal 1984 — Restaurant in Giovinazzo

We came here twice in the last two weeks. The pizza is okay, nothing really breathtaking. Panzerotto both al forno and fritto were good. If I was about to give the review for the food only, it would probably be one score higher, but the staff is what makes the people want to come back to the place over and over again, and that was a huge disappointment. Lady at the counter was unbelievably rude both times. When asked for some napkins for takeaway, she basically threw them angrily at the counter, we almost had to apologise for even asking for a simple thing. No manners at all not only in the behaviour but also when approaching customers while speaking to them. This is my first negative review ever, but I hope that it could help them improve and avoid other disappointed tourists. We decided to try the place on our 3rd night in the city( 18th of July). I wanted to order take out, 2 of the 3 tables were occupied and no food was yet served, so I supposed it would be faster. Waited for 20 minutes no one from the 4 members of the restaurant tried communication in any language even though we were clearly trying to order. Bisognerebbe acquistare un corso d'educazione alla cameriera/banchista dato che a quanto pare nessuna glie l'ha insegnata. Una scena che a raccontarla fa ridere ma vivendola ha provocato non poco nervosismo: Entriamo, chiediamo alla banchista se potessimo ordinare delle pizze, la faccia della banchista era praticamente inorridita ma sorvoliamo. Iniziamo a dettare le pizze ma ad un certo punto lei (la banchista) ci inizia ad ignorare completamente parlando con i pizzaioli dietro di lei. Ad un certo punto chiede con testuali parole "ci sono le pizze per questi" attimi di terrore tra i pizzaioli che dopo un consulto decidono di farci questo regalo facendoci queste pizze. Dopo un paio di minuti la banchista si rigira come se niente fosse e ci fa ripetere le pizze. Nonostante una spocchia incredibile anche solo per dire che l'ingrediente non fosse disponibile, l'amara sorpresa finale, i prezzi mostruosi degni di una pizza gourmet (per una semplice pizza baresana). Pizza mediocre (cruda), prezzi assurdi e banchista maleducata e irritante. PS: questa era la seconda volta che mi recavo in questo covo di strane persone, la prima volta mi era andata anche peggio dato che mi era stato detto di uscire immediatamente dato che avevano finito la massa a detta loro (h22:00), quando si poteva dire in maniera educata o quantomeno non così...
