Paradise Alcantara — Restaurant in Graniti

Mi sono recata al Paradise stamattina a pranzo (lunedì di Pasquetta). Quando ho prenotato telefonicamente mi è stato comunicato che ci sarebbe stato il menù fisso, composto essenzialmente da pietanze a base di carne, eccetto l'antipasto. Io ho comunicato il fatto che sono vegetariana e che, se fosse stato un problema, avrei tranquillamente prenotato altrove. Ho parlato quindi direttamente con il titolare il quale mi ha assicurato che avrebbe trovato per me una soluzione vegetariana, soprattutto per quanto riguarda i secondi. Sicura di quanto promesso, stamattina arriviamo nel posto e mi appare fin troppo evidente che della mia "esigenza" nessuno se fosse preso carico. Difatti, dopo aver ribadito più volte al personale che fossi vegetariana, dopo aver aspettato non so quanto tempo per il mio secondo, mi sono state servite delle semplici verdure in padella, adatte ad un contorno. Fortunatamente sono riuscita a mangiare tutti gli antipasti ed un primo, che ho apprezzato molto. Ciò che mi ha dato davvero fastidio è stata la nonchalance con la quale hanno ignorato le mie esigenze. Come detto prima, se il non mangiare carne era davvero un problema, potevano farmelo presente al momento della prenotazione, invece di rassicurarmi sul fatto che mi avrebbero trovato una soluzione. Inoltre, penso che sia stato davvero ingiusto pagare il menù quanto chi ha mangiato tutte le pietanze, dal momento che ho mangiato praticamente la metà! Che dire, ho dato due stelle soltanto per la location stupenda e per l'ottima qualità di quel poco cibo che sono...

Biggest deception ever for an Italian restaurant. The antipasti were tasteless, and the main course was simply uneatable (the gnocchi)! At least they didn't charge for it.
