We had a similar experience like some of the reviews said, no menu. But the owner/chef/waiter was very nice and offered us, he will bring us traditional meals to try everyrhing. We decided to accept it and prepred ourselves it might be more expensive. In the end, it was totally worth it!

Restaurant has nice view and even though its right next to the road (thankfully, thats why we found it), its not too noisy. Both the owners are very nice and helpful (husband and wife). And the Food was just amazing. Someone wrote it was too expensive. I dont know if they got the same stuff, but i really dont know what do people expect to pay for like 10 course dinner 🙈😁 Owner kept bringing us New and New meals. We dont like fish, so he adapted the menu. We got great local red and white wine and delicious dessert. Also fantastic lemon liqeur. We paid 75€, which is not cheap, but I think it fits with the service and experience we got. You most likely pay similar price in expensive Taormina restaurants for basic lunch for 2. Sconsiglio vivamente se non volete rovinarvi il pranzo o la cena, ma non tanto per il conto salato che vi vedrete arrivare, perché alla fine se si mangia bene ve ne fate una ragione, quanto al fatto che mangerete male. Non voglio esagerare, ma se vi dicessi che le portate degli antipasti o per meglio dire degli assaggini (impresentabili) comprendevano, tra le altre cose, alla modica cifra di 25 euro a testa, quattro bruschettine mignon, un piattino con delle alici marinate con aceto e olio del supermercato, una terrina di ceci (vi assicuro di quelli in scatola ) insaporiti con prezzemolo tritato, sedano e carote a cubetti, e mi limito a questo dato che non ne vale la pena elencare tutte le altre portate perché, vi assicuro, non vi perderete nulla. Dopodiché, passiamo ai primi, uno di carne che abbiamo scelto, e l'altro credo fosse alla norma, con pasta fatta in casa, servito in una sperlunga mono porzione che abbiamo preferito dividere perché eravamo veramente insoddisfatti di quello che si era mangiato. Dulcis in fundo il dolce, proposto dal titolare, torta alla ricotta e dolce al cioccolato fatto in casa e, a quel punto, uno spera di rifarsi con i dolci macché, non per infierire, vi descrivo solo il dolce al cioccolato perché la torta tutto sommato era commestibile, praticamente del pan di spagna a pezzetti con del coccolato sciolto, ma udite..udite il gusto del cioccolato era di quello in polvere sciolto nell'acqua. Non è uno scherzo, alla fine abbiamo pagato 71 euro e, alle nostre rimostranze che il prezzo ci era sembrato piuttosto esoso e volevamo quindi perlomeno delle spiegazione, il titolare ci ha riferito che avevamo preso il menù fisso, ovvero gli antipasti a 25 euro a testa e poi due primi, (che nella circostanza abbiamo fatto presente che avevamo preso solo quello di carne) i dolci ed i caffè. Concludo, se proprio volete rischiare, almeno voi, chiedete prima il menù per non avere brutte sorprese sul conto. Per il resto sieti avvisati. P. S. tengo a precisare che è un ristorante a noi conosciuto ed apprezzato per l'ottima qualità delle materie prime e la congruità del prezzo, ma evidentemente la pandemia in corso ha inciso notevolmente a discapito di un po' di...

True, this is not the cheapest restaurant in Italy, but it wouldn't be fair to give less than 4 stars. We were very content with the nice food (indeed €25 for the almost never ending antipasti), the service and the nice atmosphere. And still the food is much cheaper than in our country. We liked the red wine, not the white one. Got a nice limonchello of the house and never had the idea to be pushed into the menu by the cook. Besides... the restroom was very clean. I wouldn't hesitate...
