Bottega 1954 is a charming sandwich shop in Grosseto that puts a creative twist on classic Italian flavors. Their homemade bread is toasted to perfection—crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful inside—complementing the fresh, thoughtfully selected ingredients. They also offer an impressive drink selection, including traditional Italian coffee as well as matcha and chai lattes—which is not often found in Italian cafés. And then comes the real treat—the in-house homemade desserts. While they offer classic Italian sweets, my favorites are the brownies and cinnamon rolls, another rare find in Italy for €3.50 each. Crunchy fresh Schiacciata stuffed with local meats and cheese. I got Le Wow with porchetta, parmigiano crema and sun dried tomatoes. Delicioso! Delusione. Forse era la mattinata sbagliata. Personale gentile, ordino una focaccia con salame piccante e un pò di gorgonzola per attenuare. Mi siedo e dopo più di dieci minuti mi arriva una schiaccia croccante e generosa, che però, purtroppo, sapeva solo di gorgonzola. Il salame era poco e completamente coperto dal gorgonzola. Era la prima volta che ci mettevo piede, da grossetano (e penso l'ultima). Ho preso infine un macchiatone per rifarmi la bocca (dicendo due volte ben caldo, ma arrivato appena tiepido). Alla fine ho pagato 8.90, fuori mercato per quello che ho ingerito, ma la cosa che mi ha dato più fastidio è che nemmeno mi è stato chiesto (cliente nuovo) come era andata. Ed è per questa ultima annotazione che, oltre al crocione, mi sono deciso a fare questa recensione. Vedo ora nella risposta che mi è stata data che si nega che non ci sia stata comunicazione ed altro, quindi nemmeno una piccola ammissione, non vi fa molto onore. Ammettere alcuni errori in genere è segno di rispetto per sé stessi e per gli altri. Vi auguro comunque...
