Trattoria da Erik is a joke now between me and my colleague. We found this place with top comments on tripadvisor. We searched to find location long time. Owner was friendly. Not Italian. Erik is his son's name not him. In Italy, you put chef or owner's name so people go there if they like and call this place with his name. Food was very under avearage. For example, u take a side dish of herbs. It is killing salty, u can not eat. He make me agree to eat a steak of fiorentina. It was not cooked well and full of oily part and bones. I can not finish it. Hgyne was avearage and under level. If the food was ok, I would not complain a lot. But he need to do all alone service cooking taking money, go back kitchen again imagine during pandemia period. And after charge about 40-50 eur for a launch and asked us give a good comment on trip advisor. I do not understand the taste of people who give all the positive comments. It is like a joke. Transito quotidianamente davanti a questo locale e non gli avevo mai prestato attenzione, forse anche per l'ubicazione non proprio centrale. Qualche giorno fa consigliato da un'amica mi sono recato da Erik per la cena e qui mi si è aperta una finestra su un altro mondo, un mondo di gusti antichi ed irresistibili. I cibi preparati con sapiente maestria da Erik secondo le antiche ricette romane hanno sapori fantastici e piatti come la trippa o l'abbacchio a scottadito lasciano il segno, per non parlare delle pappardelle al sugo di cinghiale che... e la Crema catalana sublime e delicata... Questa trattoria mi ha talmente e positivamente colpito che il giorno successivo ci sono tornato con la famiglia per continuare il viaggio tra gli antichi sapori e gustare nuove specialità. La mia è stata una scoperta fantastica che desidero condividere con quanti sono alla ricerca del gusto. Tra l'altro segnalo porzioni abbondanti che prolungano il piacere del gusto e il servizio offerto, semplice e cordiale offerto anche dallo stesso Erik. We found this place on google after visiting Villa Adrian. The food was amazing. The ricotta and spinach ravioli were definitely the best ravioli I ever had.
