Osteria Dai Pippi — Restaurant in Imperia

We regularly come to Imperia. We met our Italian Friend here who recommended the Restaurant. In less than an hour we were told to hurry up our meal and finish to go. They shouldn’t have taken our order for desert if they wanted us gone. We had to quickly finish the desert. We still had a glass of wine, a coffee and a lemoncello to finish. I asked the waitress if we could move to a smaller table so we could at least just relax and finish our drinks and she said no. She then proceeded to argue in Italian to our Italian friend (loudly infront of other customers) which was embarrassing and very unkind. Apparently proclaiming that she’s tired. They needed us gone for the next table service. For €120 meal I think it’s disgusting that we had somebody argue with us, tell us to go and finish quickly our food and drink. The first course came within minutes of ordering, before the wine was served. This restaurant is just geared at earning money rather than offering any service. After going to Taverna Ligure around the corner last time and having really lovely staff that let you relax and stay as long as you want, with much bigger portion sizes also. I realise now that I will always be going there and never will come back to this place ever again. The waitress may think it’s okay to spend €120 and to have to leave your drinks and be argued at , but I think it’s absolutely atrocious. I don’t think I’ve ever been spoken to like that in my life in a restaurant. I’ve looked at other bad reviews from this website that also mention how rude the staff. Taverna Ligure is...

Shame and disgrace for all lmperia and ltaly!!!!! They refused to host group of 5 becouse one person was bit disabled. She was able to walk but slowly. Eather at that moment they had couple of empty tables waitress (brineta with rude and arogant attitude) give us excuse that they don't have suitable table, pointing to the lady who has small problem walking and also told us that menu is "specific" so that we shoul rather go somewhere else!!! Most shameful was behaviour of owners (middle age, short man with glasess) who was standing behind waitress giving her right to be even more rude to us by waving hands and telling that they don't have table. There was another woman who also called herself owner (middle age, rude, angry blond) who was yellig, callig us names and swearing in italian wich we also understand. It is a shame becouse husband and l were guests there earlyer this year and we have wanted to bring our guests there but we were humiliated, treated in a way that no person should ever be and for sure will never recomend this restaurant to anyone...

Non è il mio locale ideale ....

Era uno dei pochissimi locali alla Marina di Porto Maurizio in cui non ero mai stato e ho voluto fortemente provarlo per una cenetta in famiglia e con alcuni amici . Sarebbe invece stato meglio se mi fossi informato di più sul menu , perchè la lavagnetta può trarre in inganno sugli ingredienti ( ed io sono di gusti limitati ) . In posizione un po' defilata rispetto alla passeggiata sul porto , ha un dehor parzialmente aperto che rende difficile ( credo ) una climatizzazione che sarebbe tanto gradita in queste estati afosissime . Il menu , esposto su lavagnetta e soggetto a poche modifiche quotidiane , è piuttosto striminzito : 4 primi , 4 secondi e 4 dolci . I prezzi sono medio-alti , secondo me . Diciamo innanzitutto che nel menu non abbiamo trovato grandi attrattive , così ci siamo tutti limitati ad un piatto solo a testa ( pure a fatica , per me ) oltre ad acqua o birra . Buona la tartare di fassona ( fuori lavagna , ma per fortuna che c' era .... ) e non male le orecchiette , mi pare con gamberi e trombette . Però ci rimane un fortissimo dubbio , quasi una certezza : i piatti sono precotti e riscaldati al microonde ?? Abbiamo nitidamente sentito un driin e subito sono apparsi i piatti di orecchiette fumantissime ordinati non più di 4/5 minuti prima !! Servizio cortese anche se forse un po' impacciato . Ci volevano anche offrire l' amaro , ma abbiamo gentilmente rifiutato . Spesa sui 22 euro a testa senza l' ombra di uno scontrino , conto sulla calcolatrice .... Diciamo purtroppo che non è il mio...
