la loggettina — Restaurant in Impruneta

This was such a wonderful restaurant experience for us! We ended up eating here two times because we liked the staff and food so much. The pizza is great- perfect crust and great options for toppings. Ironically, their burrata and avocado salad was among the best things we ate in Italy. Their wine selection was nice as well. The staff was warm and welcoming- they even remembered us the second night and brought us right back to the same table as the night before. There is an outdoor patio that is covered and heated, which made for a nice way to be outside...

Sadly a poor rating after second visit this week. Last night the male host was pleasant and food was great.

Tonight we returned and was served by a miserable girl who was too preoccupied chit chatting to her boyfriend and smoking his cigarette in between servicing customers. The food was rather disappointing. The spaghetti with vongole was probably one of the worst I've ever tasted.

I never do reviews but I had to this time. Wow. I have tried Michelin food at various times in my life, and I can say the seafood pasta, the tiramisu, the gnocchi at this restaurant - are better. The pizzas are first class too. The word "Loggettina" is now a by-word in my family for quality. We came back 5 times during our week in Impruneta and it was by far our favourite place to eat in Italy. Great memories. I highly recommend...
