One of the best pizzerias you can find on the island, with a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere that is all authentic and "Verace" with an incredibly superb taste, full of authenticity, a true Neapolitan pizza like few people still know how to make, the products are extremely fresh and of high quality. We’ve been in Italy for 3 weeks in Naples, Sorrento and now Ischia and today we had the best, most delicious pizza of all at Pizzeria Di Scala, a small family owned pizzeria in Ischia Porto. Not only was the bufala pizza incredibly tasty, but we also experienced the most incredible arancini that we’ve had in six trips to Italy, which, as we learned from our super friendly and personable waiter Vincenzo, is a recipe handed down from his grandmother. Premetto che giudicare una pizza d’asporto può essere penalizzante per ovvi motivi. Non è come mangiarla sul posto a causa dei tempi di consegna. Partendo da questa premessa devo dire che la pizza l’ho trovata molto buona. Cottura perfetta (io la preferisco ben cotta), ottimo impasto e condimento. Ho preso una pizza bianca con sopra rucola, crudo, fiordilatte e melanzane arrostite sott’olio che erano molto buone, sottili e ben grigliate. Ottimo sia il servizio prenotazione (dopo una chiamata iniziale il tutto è proseguito su whatsapp con invio del menu) che la consegna in perfetto orario. Sicuramente da consigliare.

P.S. ho ordinato una seconda volta. Questa volta una provola e pepe. È praticamente una margherita con provola affumicata e pepe. Impasto anche questa volta leggero e ottimo. Cornicione presente ma non predominante, spessore della pizza perfetto. Profumo di provola e poi il pepe è presente…conferisce alla pizza un profumo e un sapore molto buono. Promossa anche questa. Servizio prenotazione e consegna sempre ineccepibili.

Aggiornamento: dopo aver provato anche un’ottima vegetariana, ho mangiato forse quella più buona optando per una diavola che ho richiesto con provola e senza pomodoro. Spettacolare: ottimo connubio tra provola, ricotta, basilico e salame piccante al punto giusto tagliato a listarelle consentendo così di essere distribuita ovunque sulla pizza invece delle fette.

Ultimo aggiornamento al 19/12/2024: dopo aver mangiato qualche giorno fa anche sul posto (molto carino con abbinamenti sul senape e carta da zucchero) gustando un crocchè di vere patate, un arancino strepitoso, e una pizza fritta con scarole veramente ottima, da asporto ho provato anche la frittatina di pasta (ottima impanatura esterna e cremositá all’interno) e la pizza fritta tradizionale spettacolare.
