Il Braciere — Restaurant in Ispica

The food is delicious but the staff is horrible. When we order something they look at us like we’re requesting something out of line when in fact we’d like some water. We got sat at a table outside all the way to the side it felt like we we’re sitting outside of the restaurant area (wich we practically were, the table is barely on the terrace) and when we asked if it was possible for us to be seated somewhere else all we got was a simple no wich was a very unwarm welcome. We also felt ignored by the staff most of the time though the locals seemed to receive perfect service. The whole time it felt like everyone wanted us to leave asap wich frankly is not a relaxing way to dine when you’re trying to go out for dinner. Il Braciere is a BBQ style restaurant found along the coast of Santa Maria del Focallo beach and minutes away from Pozzallo and Ispica. It offers a fish based menu and a meat based menu. We shared a meat based antipasto and each had a mixed grill main course. We added a mixed salad and fries for sides, but we're nothing to write home about. The antipasto and mains were good. L’anno scorso ho fatto una recensione a 5 stelle perché ci eravamo veramente trovati bene e avevamo preso gli stessi piatti di quest’anno. Contrariamente allo scorso anno ci siamo trovati malissimo. Gli stessi ravioli non erano più così buoni e nemmeno la carne che era piuttosto asciutta. Il servizio non ci è piaciuto, poco attento in particolare alle posate. Sembra che ci sia proprio poca voglia di fare e portare avanti questa attività. Mi domando cosa sia successo in poco più di un anno per questo tracollo.
