Al Torcio Ristorante dal 1998 — Restaurant in Jesolo

This was our worst Italian food experience, due to the waiter and the establishment’s attitude. Definitely a tourist trap. We were recommended the Tomahawk steak, stated as 7 EUR per 100 gram on the menu. Since the waiter praised it so much we trusted him and ordered it. We received a huge bone with 7-8 slices of medium-rare fatty meat. We asked to cook it medium, it came back as undercooked again, so we could not eat it. The bill stated 70 EUR for this dish… 1 kg is what they thought was fair to charge. They took off 10% after our complaints so we were left to pay a hefty bill. Another dish gone horribly wrong was the chargrilled cauliflower with mango foam. We left it pretty untouched. A nice salad and decent pasta with ragu was left for us to eat. So we did, paid 120 EUR for this (no alcohol) and swore never again. Just beware...

Our dining experience at Al Torcio was nothing short of exceptional, making it a standout memory of our Jesolo trip. The menu was a delight. The cauliflower was perfectly prepared, the carbonara was rich, and the catch of the day, turbot, was fresh and traditionally cooked. The tiramisu was the perfect finale creamy, flavorful, and unforgettable.

The menu is diverse and well chosen and the food is delicious with fresh ingredients, with an authentic taste.
