INCANTO - Cucina & Pizza - Jesolo Lido / ex Pappa & Pomodoro — Restaurant in Jesolo

Last year, we discovered this jem of a restaurant. We loved this restaurant so much that we decided to have our Italian wedding dinner there. It was incredible! We had 2 different types of pizzas for appetizer. Then , for the first course, we had seafood risotto AND homemade gnocchi in a white creamy sauce with shrimp. THEN, for the 2nd course we had plates of grilled fish. We were also served salads and fried potatoes. Finally, for dessert, I did not want a wedding cake, so we just ordered from the menu. I tasted most of the deserts and the panna cotta with blueberries was my favorite. Of course we had wine too.

When I looked at the hotels in the area for wedding reception food, it was outrageously expensive (in the realm of 140 euros per person). I don't have that kind of budget!!!

Pappa e Pomodoro worked with my budget and created this outstanding menu based off of what our favorite dishes were. It was less than 40 euros per person (plus alcohol). Everyone raved about the food too (which is the point).

So... you can tell by now that I LOVE this place.

Everything, by the way, is homemade. The ragu/bolognese sauce takes 6 hours to prepare. They take the time to make and roll and cut th gnocchi. You can taste the difference.

Went on the overall positive reviews. It was a busy Sat night so understandably we had to wait for a table. Our main server was great. Most of the party were happy with their food hence 3* for food overall however I ordered the mixed grilled fish which came too cold having clearly sat for a while post cooking. Since we'd queued for a table then waited for food for 45min I eat as was just ok but should not have been served and I wish I had ordered something more simple - not sure for example the kitchen understand the need to crisp the fish skin. I mentioned this on payment but no reduction of any kind was offered and this is a €30 dish. I did get an ultimately meaningless "apology" from the kitchen via the server but nothing in recognition of where their standards had fallen short was offered wrt our bill so I left with a sense of regret of going having waited so long for a table but ultimately leaving disappointed. We recently visited Pappa & Pomodoro with our children, hoping to enjoy an authentic Italian dining experience. To our dismay, we were refused entry despite many empty tables being available. The young blonde woman at the entrance, who appeared to be in her mid-20s, couldn't even provide a clear reason for denying us entry.

We had looked forward to enjoying Italian cuisine, and this disappointing encounter left us with a sour memory of the place. It’s a real shame, as we were genuinely excited about trying out the restaurant. Unfortunately, this will be our lasting impression—a very bitter aftertaste.

Di recente abbiamo visitato il Pappa & Pomodoro con i nostri bambini, sperando di godere di un’autentica esperienza culinaria italiana. Con nostro grande dispiacere, ci è stato negato l’ingresso nonostante ci fossero molti tavoli liberi. La giovane donna bionda all’ingresso, che sembrava essere sui venticinque anni, non è stata in grado di fornirci una spiegazione precisa sul motivo per cui ci è stato negato l’ingresso.

Eravamo ansiosi di gustare la cucina italiana e questo incontro deludente ci ha lasciato un amaro ricordo del posto. È un vero peccato, perché eravamo veramente entusiasti di provare il ristorante. Purtroppo, questa sarà la nostra impressione duratura: un retrogusto molto amaro.

Titel: Enttäuschendes Erlebnis im Pappa & Pomodoro

Wir haben vor kurzem das Restaurant Pappa & Pomodoro mit unseren Kindern besucht, in der Hoffnung, ein authentisches italienisches Esserlebnis zu genießen. Zu unserem Bedauern wurde uns der Einlass verwehrt, obwohl viele Tische frei waren. Die junge blonde Dame am Eingang, die ungefähr Mitte 20 war, konnte uns nicht einmal einen genauen Grund nennen, warum uns der Zutritt verweigert wurde.

Wir hatten uns so sehr darauf gefreut, italienische Küche zu genießen, und diese enttäuschende Begegnung hat uns einen bitteren Beigeschmack hinterlassen. Es ist wirklich schade, da wir uns auf den Restaurantbesuch gefreut hatten. Leider wird dies unser bleibender Eindruck sein – ein sehr bitterer Nachgeschmack.
