During our stay at la Madallena we visited MaMa Pizza 4 Times. The reasons we‘re simple. The Ambiente of the restaur Ant is very nice, even if it‘s crowded it doesn‘t feel too loud or uncomfortable. The pizza is a classic neapolitan pizza and amongst the best ones w E’ve had so far - big probs to the chef. Let‘s get to the service, they‘ve been fast and always had an eye on the guests. You we‘re considering another drink? They we‘re aware and already on the way to your table. You‘ve mistakenly send your fork back after the first course? They even saw that your partner got you his and provided him with a replacement asap. They remembered everything and even made you feel valued as a guest when they had a full house, being quick but never making anyone feel rushed. After our second visit the service even remembered our drinks
Honestly the service we received was WAY over their pricing (which was surprisingly fair)
If you‘re on la maddalena and thinking about getting a pizza… THIS IS IT!
Grazie mille, è stato un onore essere...
Read moreReally the most horrible experience of our visit to Italy. We wanted to go for a quick bite/ snack around 19 pm. So we were the second couple in the restaurant with all of the waitresses standing around and talking to each other and not helping us.
After 15 minutes of waiting we asked information about the speciality of the day. 3 waitressed tried to explain it and we ended up with: "Uhh.. something with meat, chicken".
We ordered meat balls and pizza sticks. After two pings from the kitchen our 100% microwaved dish was there. Complementary dry bread with it. No olive oil at the table. It was a disgrace for Italy. We wanted to leave as quickly as possible after that.
When getting bill with the cost for "service" I asked them what service? Told them about the having no eye for us as guests and about the really poor quality of the microwaved food. A simple: "It is was it is, I don't make the food and the service cost is for the pizza place, that's how it works in Italy".. that's when we walked out of...
Read moreGreat pizza, BUT beware of the wasps!
When we realized that this place was completely overrun by wasps (meaning they swarm your plate by a bunch during dinner), the server reacted rather annoyed, saying “did no one tell you we have wasps?”, I found that quite arrogant.
Also, we were not offered a solution to the wasps (no smoke, no traps) rather than to move inside, which was also met by attitude by said server. “Take it or leave it” is the motto here.
The second time, the same server did not offer us a seat inside even though the restaurant was completely empty, even after we left, because we were yet again swarmed by wasps outside.
Other guests were also quite upset by the wasps, which was met by complete indifference by the staff. It seems like this is a daily problem no one cares about.
I understand that the wasps are part of a natural nuisance, but the attitude really should...
