Holidaying in North East Sardinia from the U.K. in mid June 2023, we visited his highly recommended eatery for lunch on the Island of Maddalena, which is a 15 minute Ferry ride from the mainland town of Palau.
The restaurant is right by the beach, with plenty of parking.
The restaurant is well laid out, nicely decorated and clean - we were sat outside but shielded from the sun by shade sails.
We were warmly welcomed and waited on by various staff - who were friendly, helpful and professional throughout.
We shared a number of seafood dishes, pasta for our starters and main courses - it was all fresh, seasoned and delicious.
We then shared lovely desserts, all freshly prepared - and a complimentary Mirto digestive for both of us. Both were fabulous.
This is a high quality restaurant that serves fresh ingredients, delicious food and great service from staff.
They even have a fisherman who is based within yards of the restaurant and brings in seafood for the restaurant on a daily basis, so everything you eat is fresh, and tastes fresh.
What also stands out is the visibility of one of the owners, Antonio. He is a great host, friendly, professional and aware - he has an eye all around the restaurant to see that everything is ticking along nicely and the customers are being looked after.
The bill is reasonable, given the high quality fresh food.
If you visit the Island of Maddalena, then try out Zi Anto.

We asked if it was possible to adapt a dish to make it suitable for our dietary requirements and they said they couldn't. This is either because the mains are pre-made or because they didn't want to adapt to people's different circumstances. We had to leave because we couldn't eat any mains, only a few sides.
On the way out they didn't even say they were sorry that we couldn't find anything suitable for us. If I saw my guests walking out because they couldn't find anything suitable for them, I would at least apologise, take that as feedback to improve, and offered the bottle of water that they ordered (3€), instead they were very condescending.
Their answer to my review speaks for itself how arrogant they are and how much they care about their clients. There are so many other good restaurants with proper service in La Maddalena, don't give your money to people who don't know what running a...

We really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere was relaxed. Its a little bit expensive given that its a bit far away from the town. The mixed seafood it was €23 and the chips €4. The beers were €5. The cocktails are €10.
You can walk from the port but its more time than google maps says and is hilly. They ordered us a taxi back which made getting home much easier.
They bring you cushions to sit on the rocks. This is a very comfortable way to spend your evening.
You probably need to book a table. You wont be able to see the sunset from the dinner table so eat early and move to the rocks. You'll also want to get there early to find a spot on the rocks...
