Ristorante Stazzo Il Rifugio dei Peccatori — Restaurant in La Maddalena

This place was the most utter disgraceful restaurant I have ever eaten. We both ordered a ‘dish of the day’ that translated via google (the menu was in Italian) as ‘Sardinian-Modican Red Ox Bacon marinated with Cannonau, Sardinian craft beer and aromatic herbs from Sardinia’ the price: € 28.00. Which is quite a lot here in Sardinia. We also ordered two side dishes, respectively 5 and 6 euros. As everybody will surely think by this description, we expected a nice piece of meat in a aromatic sauce. What we got: approximately 50 grams of very thinly sliced cured meat on crackers. For 56 euros. We were absolutely flabbergasted and should have sent it back immediately. But we didn’t, and wanted to politely ask the waiter for some explanation. Why was this so expensive? Was this really our main dish?

Then came the worst. The waiter litterally SHRUGGED, said ‘I don’t know’ in the most condescending way AND WALKED AWAY DURING our conversation. Which is extremely rude and has nothing to do with any form of hospitality whatsoever. By then we were more then appalled, and considered not paying, walking away or making a huge scene. But hey, WE are polite. So we payed the bloody bill of 98 euros and did say to the waiter-who-isn’t-worthy-of-his-job we were never been treated in such a disgraceful way. He said ‘ok’ and walked away again. I recommend everybody NOT going here if you like to be treated as a human being and not as a cash cow for 50 grams of cured...

Esperienza Negativa : Caro titolare , avendo io cenato li da voi, ed avuto un esperienza negativa, volevo replicare ad una sua risposta poco ortodossa ,cosa che a quanto pare fa con tutti quelli che mettono in mostra i difetti del suo locale, e cioè di offendere e discriminare senza freni. La lamentela ( e ne trova tante per lo stesso motivo) che le è stata fatta si riferiva esclusivamente alle quantità disoneste che ci sono state servite, essendo noi persone civili ( e non rifiuti della società come lei ci ha definiti) abbiamo chiesto alla cameriera se fosse tutto li, mentre lei osservava da lontano senza battere ciglio, al che abbiamo deciso di proseguire senza dire altro. Finito abbiamo pagato e ringraziato e siamo andati a mangiare altrove, dove in 2 settimane abbiamo avuto il piacere di conoscere delle persone splendide e gentili che appartengono a questa terra stupenda, che da anni ci accoglie meravigliosamente. Detto questo volevo precisare che non è che uno deve lamentarsi per ricevere quello per cui ha pagato, come dice lei a tutti, " bastava dirlo" , perché non è cosi che funziona. Un suggerimento, invece di perdere tempo ad insultare , provi a migliorarsi prima lei come persona e poi come gestore di un locale , e se proprio non riesce (cosa molto probabile), cambi mestiere che è meglio!!!!! Replica alla risposta del proprietario : Bla bla bla, questa è la cosa che riesce a fare bene , parlo del Titolare, il grande " ristoratore " si fa per dire, che di tempo per offendere ed insultare chi gli porta i soldi fin dentro casa ne trova sempre. Una "persona" si fa per dire, completamente priva di intelletto,il classico " so tutto io" , a cui non puoi criticare nulla(vedi tutte le recensioni negative).Se quella sera non ho fatto reclami , era semplicemente per rispetto nei confronti degli amici che erano al tavolo con me, che mi hanno esplicitamente chiesto ciò, altrimenti di certo non le mando a dire, l avrei fatto mangiare a te quel miserabile piatto che ci hai presentato , ah dimenticavo mi spiace se il mio fisico gracilino per te non era un bel vedere, non mi ero accorto di aver di fronte il G.Clooney dei poveri, .....evidentemente non hai specchi in casa (meglio cosi) buffone!!! Very tasty food, we went there two nights in a row. However, the second time was not a great experience. The server took our order wrong - he confirmed they had a specific white wine we asked for, then the other server brought us a sparkling wine, more expensive than what we asked for, and did not even explain it's different than what we asked. We changed it afterwards. Moreover, we ordered a type of octopus (I believe it was called rock octopus) and we got an octopus salad. Even after letting them know on the error, we did not even get a "sorry". Other than that, the food was really good but compared to other places we've eaten around in Sardinia, the quality price ratio is not that high, as here it was very pricey. Overall, recommend...
