Persecuted for being English! Stayed in this beautiful town over night on Business. Entered the shop at around 0715 on the 19/03/2024 where it was busy with local people ordering coffee. We stood in line to await our turn only to find after around 15 minutes locals who were entering the shop after us were being served and we were being ignored. I must add, the coffee waitress knew we were present as we were around 1.5 metres from her. We tried to ask for a coffee to be ignored, would not even make eye contact and then went straight to local people who looked at us awkwardly. We then asked her again to which she out right blanked us and began talking to someone else. We had done nothing wrong other than want a coffee for our journey to which we left the shop with no service and all the customers looking at us as they knew what had just happened. The only reason i can see for us being ignored is that we were English and not Italian. If you are not a local Italian, they stay away from this coffee shop, unless you want to be treated like your some form of outcast!!!!!!!! For a town that benefits from the fame of Andrea Bocelli, then you would have thought that they would welcome tourists. It was a lady with Ginger hair, i would say in her 40's. Small...
