Such beautiful surroundings and breathtaking views all around — a truly stunning location. Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to the setting. The octopus pasta and pistachio gnocchi were average at best. The real disappointment, however, was the “sliced beef with Tuscan pecorino fondue and baked vegetables”. The presentation was poor, and calling the sauce a “fondue” felt misleading — it was neither appetizing nor well-executed. At €20, this dish felt especially overpriced for what was served.

We decided to go here for our anniversary dinner tonight. The staff were so friendly, from telephoning to book a table right up until we left. We took the waitress' recommendations for wine and after dinner drinks and they were excellent. The food was delicious, we savoured every bite. We especially enjoyed the beef with caramalized shallots and the cantuccini with vin santo. This was a wonderful place to eat, with beautiful views of the countryside and delicious food. I'd visit again in a heartbeat. We sat outside for dinner, and while there was a party going on inside the music was fun and not distracting at all. It was very busy so service was slow and two of us had to wait a long time for our mains (the only reason I dock a star) - but all the servers and staff were very sweet.
