Taglieri&Bicchieri — Restaurant in Lastra a Signa

The food was delicious (best risotto we had on our trip in Tuscany) and the waitress was kind and smiley too. Unfortunately the menu online is inconsistent with the reality, so I was disappointed not to get the food I was hoping for and why I chose this particular restaurant. Moreover, the waiting time for the main course was just too long, more than an hour. If you don't mind waiting and are not going there to try a specific dish, then I would recommend this restaurant. All the dishes we tried were really tasty and the atmosphere...

Conosciuto quasi per caso, località un po' nascosta, ma devo dire che ne vale la pena. Locale ampio, alla buona, ma ben attrezzato, con posti a sedere anche all'aperto per godersi in compagnia il tepore delle serate estive, ma la vera differenza la fanno i piatti ed il personale. Tutte le sere che siamo stati lì siamo stati accolti magnificamente da Ilaria e dagli altri ragazzi. Si respira un clima cordiale ed amichevole. Il cibo è insuperabile. C'è tradizione e ricerca e quello che viene fuori è un tripudio di sapori e colori di una cucina napoletana che vuole osare di più. Credo di non aver mai mangiato una pizza così buona al nord (e forse anche al sud) Italia ed al di là della freschezza e qualità dei prodotti e della capacità ed esperienza dei due maestri pizzaioli, dalla stesura alla perfetta cottura a legna, quello che fa la differenza, a mio avviso, è la proposta di un impasto sapientemente bilanciato, fragrante, leggero e dal profumo e sapore armonico a cui il condimento diventa null'altro che una nota di carattere al tutto. Anche tutti i piatti di terra e di mare che ho assaggiato mi hanno davvero colpito. Uno su tutti: risotto scampi, gamberi e agrumi. Nota di rilievo anche la vasta selezione di dessert e sopratutto di amari (un classico per concludere un ottimo pasto) assieme al caffè di Raul, da 10 e lode. Insomma se avete voglia di una piacevole serata all'insegna del buon cibo, questo qui è il posto perfetto....

This restaurant has an absolutely lovely atmosphere and a creative menu, but the best part was the friendliness of the service! We walked to the restaurant, but were quite tired by the time we were done and so asked about calling a taxi. The owner’s husband said it could be difficult to get a taxi there, but that he would get his car and give us a ride himself for free. The food was also delicious- and we were so grateful it was open late on a holiday Sunday....
