Allosteria Trattoria Pizzeria — Restaurant in Lecce

Unfortunately for my group of friends a dinner at Allosteria was a disaster. It was an evening of waiting. The service was horrible, very unprofessional in customer approach, not noticing us at all (and we were 12) - we had to wave for 5-10 min everytime we needed something (menu, drinks, to make an order). For starters we had to wait for half an hour and after that we sat by the dirty table for over an hour because the staff didn't clean the plates. In the end we had to wait for 1,5h for the main courses (which were just pasta) - the dinner "started" at 9.30 and we got them at midnight. The worst part, though, was the fact that one of us has celiakia and cannot eat gluten and she didn't get a thing of her order untill 00.15. Yes, that's 3 hours of waiting in a restsurant to get food. Food wise it was fine, but nothing really great. Accordning to the chef's suggestion, we took one Antipasto Allosteria for all of us and it was definitely not enough (would've been fine for 4 ppl, max 6, not 12 for sure). The pasta was well cooked and nice in texture, but sauces where quite ordinary. We did get something sweet and an amaro on the house at the end, but it didn't improve the...

So we entered, 2 waiters looked so rushed off their feet. Many tables not cleared after diners had left, but we managed to get a seat. They do not speak English despite having English translations on the menu. That’s ok but they lacked patients given we were trying out Italian. We needed a minute to decide so the waitress said she would be back but she never returned, after 40mins we tried to get someone to take our order, finally after 50mins we ordered and the food came out quickly. My cutlery was dirty. They replaced it quickly. We ordered a side of vegetables, and it was grilled but just a small amount of courgette and aubergine and green pepper for the same price as a pizza. The pizza was sourdough and good, and pasta with black pepper was big portion and good, but when we went to get the bill, they overcharged us…. When I checked against the menu, it’s 5 extra. Not really worth the wait, given there is no atmosphere and the owner and waiters constantly rushing around, yet not paying any attention to our table. You’ll probably find a lot better in the local area…. We were desperate and it’s was heavy rain and the rating seemed ok on Google…. Take it...

Oggi siamo state in Allosteria a pranzo. Ci hanno fatto accomodare al tavolo per due, giustamente-ero con mia amica. Ci hanno riservato il tavolo in fondo della sala. Peccato che dietro le mie spalle avevo l'uscita d'emergenza a tre ante di vetrata. Con addosso una felpa di pile sentivo freddo perché l'uscita distava dalle mie spalle incirca un metro... Ogni tanto andava aperta dai camerieri per effettuare servizio nel gazebo. Stiamo a febbraio. Tengo a precisare che l'ingresso principale è situato dall'altra parte del locale. Aspettavamo il menù. È arrivata la cameriera, pronta con " taquino" , chiedendo se abbiamo già deciso per l'ordine. Abbiamo detto che aspettavamo il menù. Ci haguardate con sorriso... "Il menù si trova sotto i piatti sul tavolo". Ho chiesto se ci potesse portare il menù senza smontare piatti, bicchieri,posate, pane (non coperto). La cameriera ha risposto che il menù stampato non esiste in questo locale... Quindi ho chiesto cinque minuti per poter decidere. Il menù era stampato sulle tovagliette di plastica. Mia amica ha scelto spaghetti con le cozze, io polpette fritte e patatine. A seguire la grigliata mista di carne. La cameriera ci ha detto che meglio non prendere pasta n le cozze perché non sono fresche... Amica ha ottato per gli gnocchi alla sorrentina. Non erano male. Sono arrivate anche le polpette e patatine. Salvo le patatine perché polpette erano composte di una cosa frullata impanata e fritta. Prime portate abbiamo finito intorno alle ore 14.05. Non arrivava la grigliata. Alle 14.25 abbiamo chiesto dove sia finita seconda portata. La cameriera è svanita nel nulla. Alle 14.40 è apparsa di nuovo e ha chiesto se manca qualcosa. Ma che domanda?! Abbiamo detto che il secondo non è arrivato. La risposta"fra una quindicina di minuti arriva". Quindi fatevi una ragione-personale non presente, non competente, assente. La qualità di cibo veramente dubbiosa. A proposito- la grigliata...
