L'ancora di Lerici — Restaurant in Lerici

Lerici is a pretty little town. And this restaurant here is on the main square, right in the heart of it. A nice place to grab a drink, some food and watch the world go by.

We didn't plan on having lunch, but food looked good and the kitchen was still open, so we ordered a little something to eat.

Had the fried seafood and the stuffed mussels. Both excellent dishes. The seafood was perfectly cooked and really fresh. Nice mix of anchovies, shrimp, calamari and zucchini. The stuffed mussels very fresh as well. A great item, not easy to find.

Staff was friendly and fast, prices really fair, a lot lower than one might expect from a popular town like this. And our Bulldog was welcome as well.

We had dinner at Trattoria Ligure L’Ancora in Lerici and were very satisfied overall. The spaghetti with clams was full of flavor, and the sea bass was perfectly cooked, served with fresh vegetables and crispy roasted potatoes. The service was friendly and attentive throughout the evening.

Even though the restaurant is not directly on the waterfront, the view over the bay was still stunning — especially at sunset, which created a truly memorable backdrop for the meal.

The only downside was the noise level, as there were quite a few families with children, making it a bit lively at times. However, this didn’t ruin the experience.

Conclusion: A solid choice if you’re looking for good seafood, warm service, and a beautiful sunset view — even without a front-row seat to the sea. 4...

Food is great and solid, very traditional ligurian. Custom requests easily accommodated, and dishes explained and suggested. Give 4 for the atmosphere: We had to move from the covered patio to the inside of the restaurant due to the gas fumes in the enclosed patio. I felt unwell afterward, I had to take most of my food "to go." Next time, we just requested sitting inside right away. Enjoyed food and a restaurant attraction - the red cat.
