Visiting Licata was a last minute desition cause we were passing by with our car and we said.... ''Let's have a look''. Strolling around the port and the center around 19.30 we saw people entering restaurant's or dining around the local pizzerias and we felt hungry so we decided to have proper meal and not grab a quick snack or panini as we firstly had planned!! After asking around locals for recommendations for a while and comparing them with Trip Advisor grades, we decided to go to Gustibus! For our lack the place wasn't busy and the chef took great care of us! The food was outstanding, everything he proposed and cooked, was so fresh and tasteful and if only we could had a bite from his meat courses cause we had fish and seafood stuff!! My Wife, Son and I traveled to Sicily last week. Palermo, Messina, Syracuse, Taormina, Licata, Palazzo and Marsala and then 3 days in Rome. This was the best meal we ate the entire trip. A HIDDEN GEM. Not likely this restaurant will ever get the recognition it deserves with the out of the way location. BUT, If I were anywhere on the island of Sicily I would make the trip to Licata and dine here if you are a foodie. The owner has training and experience from restaurants all over the world before opening his restaurant in Licata.
