Ristorante Alla Vecchia Finanza — Restaurant in Lignano Sabbiadoro

This restaurant is located in a secluded area of Lignano. We were exploring the area and found it at the botton end of the street. ( no parking. Well there is parking but not for custumers) and the restaurant was empty. The food turned out to be good.But The service was not good, the two employees looked scared of my kids. In addition the ower or the administrator complained as one of my son's touched a mantel cloth. I know my kids can be free spirited and perhaps too much for the Italians but they behaved good as gold so I didn't like the disproportionate behaviour expresed towards my 5 year old for touching the corner of a table cloth. The restaurant is quite expensive but again the food was good. My Barclays visa card was not accepted so I have to pay with cash. Overall the restaurant was clean and the food was ok however the staff and the administrator does not make it to the standard of good custumer service. A few days later we decided to try again (I know I shouldn't have ) I arrive there ,again restaurant empty and I ask in English if I can have a table for 5. There, I was told that the restaurant is totally reserved. I put my husband who is italian to give them a call to make a reservation and to our surprise he is offered a table instan. It is quite sad really !...

The food was absolutely delicious — every dish was thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. When we called to ask if there were any tables available, we were informed that there would be music that evening, which we appreciated. However, the actual setup significantly detracted from the experience: the music was extremely loud and quite, with no smooth transitions between tracks. The DJ seemed to play songs directly from YouTube or Spotify and would occasionally shout into the microphone, which felt jarring and out of place. Considering the restaurant’s beautiful riverside setting and laid-back atmosphere, a more fitting musical choice would be lounge, chillout, or even light house music — something that complements the ambiance rather than overwhelms it. Especially since there is no actual dance floor, the current music setup feels mismatched and distracting. A change in this aspect could really elevate the entire experience.

I went there with some friends of mine last saturday and honestly that will be my last time. Only the location is good with a great view of the river, but you can't pay so much for few dishes of "poor" fish. Place for turist, just few choices and no fresh fish. Last but not least a comment on the owner (I guess she was..), she had very rude manners (to be polite...). On balance only the location and the waiters would deserve, but just for a drink, nothing more,...
