Ristorante Pizzeria Poseidon — Restaurant in Lignano Sabbiadoro

We first discovered this restaurant in 2018 while staying near Lignano, and it quickly became one of our absolute favorites. I feel so lucky we found it so early on, and since then we have returned at least six times. Every visit has been wonderful.

For me, it is the most authentic and atmospheric place for seafood, with an incredible selection of pizzas, prawns, squid, and many other exciting and unique Italian-style dishes.

We almost always order the seafood platter for two, which comes loaded with prawns, squid, and various kinds of fish, served with potatoes and a salad of your choice. It is so generous that it often ends up being enough for three people.

The service has been outstanding every single time. The staff are incredibly helpful, polite, and often surprise guests with little gifts or complimentary treats at the end of the meal. Over the years we have been treated to free sorbet, small desserts, and there is always bread and sauce for the table at no extra charge.

What I love most is seeing that after all these years, the quality has not dropped even a bit. In fact, it has only gone up in my eyes. I am already looking forward to visiting again this year when we are...

This place was a delight. What a great surprise in a tourist spot; I was in no way treated like somebody they thought theyd never see again. I was just on my own (working), I had a delicious pizza (Gustoso) with a whole buratta in the middle. The pizza arrived very quickly and was one of the best I've ever tasted. But what really struck me was the staff, they were all very attentive, and they all seemed to have a really good rapport together, all smiles and banter, like it was a great team to be on. A lovely lass brought over a selection of bug sprays when she realised I was getting attacked by the mosquitos. Domenica sera, ore sette chiamiamo per ordinare quattro pizze da asporto. Visto che su internet non c'è il listino ce le inventiamo, roba semplice con ingredienti comuni, niente di che. Ci viene chiesto per che ora le vogliamo, diciamo le 20 e 15, un'ora e passa di tempo, sembra ragionevole. Alle 20 e 15 ci presentiamo in pizzeria, le nostre pizze non sembrano ancora essere pronte, quindi andiamo a pagare. La ragazza fa due calcoli e ci dice il totale: 40,80€. Io e la mia amica siamo prese di contropiede dal prezzo ma paghiamo, mentre cerco le monete la ragazza ci fa "Fate 40". Ringraziamo e le diamo i soldi, e lei va avanti a fare un altro conto. Quando chiediamo lo scontrino ci viene risposto che "Se volete lo scontrino dovete aspettare che finisco qua". Noi aspettiamo, e poco dopo ci viene consegnato uno scontrino fasullo, senza intestazione, dove le somme erano: due pizze da 9 euro, una da 10 e una da 13. Il totale segna 60,80€, ma è depennato da un 40. Infastidite ci avviciniamo verso l'uscita per aspettare le pizze che non arrivano, e prendiamo un menù per confrontare i prezzi delle pizze, dove l'unica a costare 13 euro è quella con i frutti di mare. Continuiamo ad aspettare, finché un cameriere non arriva da noi con due comande in mano e ci chiede quale delle due è il nostro ordine. Esterrefatte glielo indichiamo e vediamo i pizzaioli mettersi all'opera per farle, con più di 10 minuti di ritardo dall'orario che ingenuamente avevamo dato noi. In più, mentre siamo lì ad aspettare, assistiamo a una scena in cui una cameriera con il carrello va verso un tavolo per servire un pesce in crosta di sale ma non riuscendo a raggiungerlo fa alzare una signora al tavolo dietro e lascia la malcapitata in piedi perché non si accorge di essersi sistemata con il carrello dietro la sua sedia. Forse un po' di distanziamento avrebbe aiutato.
