Ristorante Aurora — Restaurant in Lipari

My wife and I had dinner here last night. What a great surprise. We were planning on going to a different restaurant, but it was closed. So we ended up here, at a beautiful table for two overlooking the ocean.

The service was top notch. And the pastas were delicious.

PS. It's a fun moped ride from the rest of Lipari. Just be mindful of the switchbacks. Have clear lenses? Bring them. There was a dust storm on our return trip that was...

Oggi siamo stati in questo posto principalmente per il mare, verso le 12 abbiamo preso nel bar un ottimo cannolo un caffè ed una granita. ..sembrava quasi un sogno...che invece si è trasformato a pranzo in un incubo. Infatti ore 14 ci mettiamo seduti ordinando una frittura ed un insalata eoliana...premetto che il giorno prima su white beach erano stati ottimi...ed ora vengo al dunque...nel frattempo dell'attesa della n.s. ordinazione chiedo 2 bruschette viste nel tavolo accanto ...che ancora aspettiamo di mangiare........poi finalmente arrivano i n.s. piatti...nel mio si contavano i pezzi...3 anelli di calamaro 4 gamberetti...forse a pranzo devi fare la dieta....ma l'incubo arriva nell'insalata....abitata da formiche più voraci di noi...vive ovviamente ...chiamo il cameriere per portare via il piatto...torna il titolare incavolato si rivolge con un tono scocciato riportandoci il piatto e chidendo dove fossero le 🐜 facendoci passare per visionari...non so perché si comportasse così ....unica soddisfazione personale vedere che nel tavolo accanto al nostro una famiglia trovava altre formiche nella stessa insalata e nelle cozze, addirittura cotte....perciò cari ristoratori dell'aurora cercate di essere più professionali, educati e di ascoltare sempre i clienti che si affidano alla...

Excellent food, good wine, nice ambience. What made my 140 Euro Dinner for two experience less memory worthy, was the waiter talking behind my back to the table next to us about me ordering a big fish grilled all for myself. Assuming I wouldn't understand him. If you have a costumer who is willing to spend 60 Euros on that one fish. You should not want...
