This place has very friendly service. There is also a separate space where toddlers can play. So because these people were so helpful I'll go for the 4 stars. Winter is served not out of the bottle but they bring you the glasses just like that. That was an awkward experience. The wine wasn't great to say the least but I felt a bit embarrassed to send back both glasses so we sent back one. Another glass came with a different wine which was only slightly better. It was also weird that both wine glasses were served pretty full. But wine isn't made to be served like water. A big wine glass servers to be able to taste the wine better i thought. Anyway the food was suboptimal. The ravioli were dry as if not cooked sufficiently or maybe just old. The shrimps fried in dough (pastella) had the dough too thick on them so that half of the dough wasn't cooked well. Read moreWe were advised to try the restaurant but also warned about the prices (medium-high). Long story short: if you visit Lipari, you must come here (if you like fish, obv). The prices are reasonable if compared to the quality and quantity! I was shocked about the quality of the shrimp tartare, simply the best one I've ever had (I tried a lot of shrimp tartare, trust me). 18€ for a portion (don't worry, the quantity is totally fair). Also the calamarata with fish ragù was perfect.
Be careful! The restaurant is in the higher part of Acquacalda, so if you've parked near the beach you've to walk a bit uphill. If you're coming with the bus from Canneto, choose carefully the stop (it's right in front of the restaurant) otherwise you've to walk :)

Locale caldo a meno che non si abbia la fortuna (legata alla conoscenza del proprietario o come lui ci ha detto alla "prenotazione almeno una settimana prima") di riuscire a sedersi vicino alla vetrata. Discreti gli antipasti ma, non solo per i prezzi, altre portate assolutamente deludenti con una linguina fantasia di mare degna di quattro salti in padella e una pasta al ragù di Totano scotta modello mensa. Frittura di pesce unta e palesemente cotta in un olio vecchio. In un posto di mare e in un ristorante di pesce la qualità è inaccettabile. Idem i prezzi non accettabili soprattutto rispetto alla qualità dei pasti. Servizio ampiamente migliorabile con il proprietario che, vista l'alta temperatura, prende gli ordini con modeste spiegazioni dei piatti (cos'è l'antipasto misto di mare? Un po' di quello che leggete sopra secondo quello che c'è ...), madido di sudore e con la mascherina ovviamente sotto il naso come di ordinanza. Servizio lentissimo (15' per avere il conto). La tanto decantata vista oscurata non solo dai tavoli di "quelli che hanno prenotato almeno una settimana prima" e dalla disposizione di piante in sala.
