Gelateria Artigianale "Riss" Cocktail Bar & Lounge — Restaurant in Loiri-Poltu Santu Paolu/Loiri Porto San Paolo

Came to Riss cafe to have an ice cream a coffee and one diet coke. First of all the prices for the ice cream where super high in comparison to other ice cream shops in the area . For only 2 scoops i had to pay 3.50 euros. Secondly there was no clear listing of prices for coffees and drinks so in after we made our order, when we were paying we discovered that a SINGLE ESPRESSO was 2 euros ! Crazy price for italy and a coke 200 ml was 3.50 euros !

The problem was also that the staff was very slow in serving us and misunderstood our order. We ordered one DIET coke and they brought us a normal one so of course we asked to change and after waiting 10 min to change a single coke one member of the staff came with the diet coke but bigger size telling us that for the diet one they only have the big size and we had to pay 1.50 euros more ! So one coke 300 ml 5 euros ! Crazy

Very unpolite since we payed already and the mistake was not ours but the waiter one. In the end since we found very unpolite for them to ask us money we asked if we could be refounded but they said that they could not and after a bit they made us the “favour” to give it to us without extra charge.

I will never go there again since it is overpriced and customer service is slow and not...

We just happened to be passing through the area and decided to grab a little treat. I will say that I was rather surprised at finding a gelateria with such a robust menu of specialized treats. Our waiter was very nice and helped us with the menu. We decided to keep it simple and just grabbed a couple of cups of gelato. I had pistachio and coconut. They were both very good, but the texture was not quite right. The place was very nice, well-shaded and a nice breeze in the area. I did notice the specialty cakes in the display case - some looked amazing. I saw someone looking at purchasing some - by weight primarily, and the two he looked at were around 40 euros. I didn't see the packaging for these cakes (I assume chilled with small ice pack in Styrofoam?). I could see why some people gave the place a low rating due to the price. The server also needs a bit of training on the proper way to scoop, prepare, and place it in the cup. Sounds simple, but it is a bit of a styling science. This place is a rip off!!!!! I asked for some fruit on the side of the ice cream, instead of all together as on the menu for my 2 kids, they charged me 12 euro!!! For 2 bananas and a peach! When I questioned them on it (Speaking to the owner), he had the nerve to laugh in my face and basically tell me to get lost.

In response: As “a fully grown man", on vacation with my kids, I will be sure to be careful of people like you next time I’m “in any place of the world”. You’re called a Predator; and you price gouge tourists because you can’t manage a real business. Thank you for confirming in your response that 1. You are much more arrogant than I described and 2. Your prices are OUTRAGEOUS!! Not to mention when you “served me to the table” it took over 20 mins for the 2 bananas and peach to get there.
