Restaurant came recommended by the hotel. Being due-dilligent we inspected the menu in advance before booking. The suckling pig tickled our fancy as we had this on a local food festival the week before. We made a resevation call at 12:00 for a 19:30 reservation to ensure we would be served the suckling pig (menu states it needs to be pre-ordered.) We spoke to two members of staff to ensure the reservation was OK, and the reservation was confirmed twice!
Up on arrival we were greeted by a less then hospitable waiter - we were put on a "by the road patio, very warm!) And asked if we could move to the indoor air-conditioned area of the restaurant (no information on the website that you have to make a choice.) We were moved next to some staff eating Pizza indoors (actually OK, as they were friendly and welcoming.)
THEN... we ordered food for the kids and referred to our booking of suckling pig... only answer "no reservation," we politely made the waiter aware that we had booked in advance and we presented the call logg for when we reserved. Answer: no booking, you can't have." No apologies, no "we can recommend...." etc.. Manager was called to the table - looked at us, said nothing and walked away. So did the waitor, he was more interested in charging his ipad/ android device then his customers left alone at the table.
OK- we rebooted and started picking alternatives from the menu: Strike 1: lamb racks looks good we all agreed.... answer: sorry not on menu (even though it was on there) Strike 2: Ok; lobster looks good, fun for a family outing... answer: sorry not on menu!? (You can have pasta with lobster sauce... not really lobster though!) Strike three: let's just order chicken schnitzel for the kids and we will find something for the adults... (sorry we are out of chicken schnitzels) - ok pork schnitzels then... well they actually had that!
I went for a grilled steak on the bone - usually a no brainer... but got a bit nervous when they did not ask how I wanted it cooked - truth be told; the chef killed the steak! I chose not to eat it and made a comment to the vaitor how bad my meat was... no reaction; just left the table clueless... (look at attached image for the state of the steak- cut close to the bone as this is usually where the meat is at is the most rare... just a waist of good meat unfortunately)
Then; they decided to put a table next to us (a four person table) with a fifth person adjacent- I like company, but poor soal sitting there "on" our table!
We chose to leave the table at this point (food not finished, wine in bottles) made a comment to what i beleive was the head waitor when settling the 110 euro bill for barely touched food... he just looked at me and ran off... Stange, no dialog - no simple excuse or "come by tomorrow and I will make sure you get a great experience... very unprofessional!"
Overall the worse restaurant experience in my life! Please keep this in mind when booking - I really hope this was a "one-off" - but based on our experience; it is the worse restaurant experience we have had in Sardinia (even globally) to...
Read moreI came here with my girlfriend on a Friday night, since she told me how nice and simple was this place.
I had expectations and I’ve been disappointed :
The service : Nobody took us in charge for 10 minutes, we had to ask somebody for a table and received a very sharp « one second » - like we were disturbing her. The table was set up after a while but once again, nobody told us or invite us to take a seat. People just pass in front of you without a smile or an eye contact. This kind of behavior applies to the whole diner time (taking our plates without even caring if we were satisfied, or if we wanted something else).
The plates : My gf took seafoods without any flavor, way too expensive, that was basically composed of squid and a bad and cheap fish (the whole thing probably initially frozen). I took fried pork that wasnt even worth its 12 € (the main piece, some French fries and … that’s it). I don’t even talk about 20 poor salted French fries in a plate for 6 € and not a single sauce to dip in. The same applies to the ridiculous 6 sliced grilled vegetables for 6€ as a contorno.
2 Spritz (12 €, it’s ok) 2 mains plates : • grilled seafoods for 24 € • fried pork (porchetta di maiale) for 12 € (a simple piece of meat and that’s it) 2 sides plates : • 6 sliced and grilled vegetables for 6 € • some French fries without sauce for 6 € = 65 €
We should have...

We went here on the first day of our vacation and while the food was good, we had to wait around an hour just to pay. They promised a small gift for the next time we would come by, and indeed, we did receive a small gift.
We ordered two dishes from the translated German menu and received one dish that didn’t match the description: risotto cacio e pepe with gamberi. Please double-check the description: it costs €25 because there are small gold leaves on top. What you basically get is 200 grams of rice with two cold pieces of gamberi and a strawberry sauce that should really be used for ice cream. Unsurprisingly, after we went home, it made me sick.
The second dish we ordered was swordfish with potatoes. The swordfish was unevenly cooked and raw in the middle, which sadly resulted in my friend vomiting the whole night.
On top of that (in case that wasn’t bad enough), the bread they served was old and hard.
And this “lovely” experience cost us €51 in total!
To sum it all up: I would strongly advise leaving your...
