An easy 5 out of 5.
Family members who live in London told us about Pizzeria Eat and Go in Sardinia. They talked it up quite a bit. I was hesitant to try it at first, as I thought my expectations might be too high. But I was wrong the pizza guy knows how to make pizzas!
We all know that there are plenty of good pizza joints in this part of the world, even though a few can leave you a bit disappointed. But I can honestly say this was one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. Yes, even better than a few I’ve tried in Naples.
We arrived just after 10:30pm and thought we might have missed the 10:30 closing time, but we were warmly welcomed by the staff. They had a huge selection of pizzas. We offered to take it home, but they said we were welcome to stay if we wanted — so we did. There was no sense of rush at all and it was a very comfy atmosphere
Their friendly manner continued the meal when I asked questions. Even though my Italian is limited to a little more than “Grazie” (and I said that a few times tonight), they still managed to understand most of what I was trying to say and ask. We enjoyed a couple glasses of wine, and took their delicious tiramisu back to our accommodation for later.
For those interested: the pizza dough is 70 percent hydration, which can be challenging to work with when preparing the dough and it’s fermented for at least 48 hours.
It’s not a Michelin-hatted restaurant… it’s better. The pizza dough was perfect, there was too much topping to eat the slices by hand, the service was relaxed and kind, and the prices were very reasonable.
I’d be surprised if anyone, besides their competitors, walked away unhappy.
If you’re wondering, Yes, we’ll absolutely be going back during our next 10 days in the area....

Service was so good and friendly despite my totally lack of Italian, we managed. The pizza is amazing, soft, tasty and crisp and ingredients are so fresh . Husband is gluten free and he had ‘the best gluten free pizza’ he ever had. He said it to the chef Luca who was so humble and delighted to hear. Don’t miss this spot, super food, fantastic staff and very...
