Bar Pizzeria La Piazza — Restaurant in Lucca

Good pizza restaurant with outside seating in a nice terrace on the opposite side of the road. There were lots of hummingbird hawk moths visiting the flowers. We wanted to find something to eat as the restaurant was closed where we were staying. First we had gone to the nearby Maestro Cilegia but turned around as it didn't look great, and the looks we got were clear we weren't wanted. As things go not a bad experience. They forgot our desert but I would not hold that against them. Pizzas were good and the €7 bottle of prosecco washed it down nicely. Per me la pizza è da 5 stelle perché non posso dare di più! Personale cordiale, simpatico e gentilissimo. L'attività è partita come bar che già esisteva come circolo da anni, quindi se cerchi l'ambiente chic, non fa per te! Ma da quando ha cambianto gestione, questo locale ha fatto passi da gigante e il posto è caldo e accogliente con ampio spazio che da pure la possibilità di mangiare all'aperto. Comunque sia se sei amante della pizza vale la pena farci un boccone, che come ho detto prima, è buonissima! Pizza bassa e croccante cotta col forno elettrico, ma non ha nulla da invidiare a quella cotta nel forno a legna. I proprietari si danno da fare e continuano a modernizzare e migliorare il locale.
