As other reviews have pointed out, this place can be a little on the pricey side. However, you get what you pay for. Excellent food, excellent presentation, a very friendly and accommodating staff, and an excellent view are all very worth the price we paid for dinner -- 70 euro per person, but there are cheaper options on the menu! We had two young boys and the staff were very attentive to them. One of them started falling asleep and so they moved an empty table and brought a bench for him to nap on. Another was hoping for clam pasta which wasn't on the menu, and yet they made it for him and it turned out (in his words) "Really awesome, delicious, and lots of flavor!". The location of the restaurant is in a beautiful bay. The view is stunning especially if you sit in the first row of the terrace during sunset. The dinner started with a small glass of champagne offered by the restaurant. A very nice way for starting. We took the tasting menu which includes different wines. I can only recommend to take the menu and the wines as all ingredients are carefully selected. It allows you to make a beautiful excursion in Italian cuisine and wines. All plates were nicely presented, the wines were delicious and some plates hit really my taste. All in all, one has to know that you are not going to a regular restaurant so it was not a surprise that we have paid higher prices. EVITATE QUESTO POSTO!!!

In vacanza pochi giorni all'Isola d'Elba, ci viene consigliato questo ristorante da un amico di un amico. Avevamo già letto recensioni negative riguardo l'accoglienza e il servizio, ma decidiamo comunque di andare a provare in quanto il cibo sembrava di qualità. Eravamo un gruppo di 6 persone e una volta arrivati 2 di noi si fermano fuori a scattare un paio di foto al bel panorama, ritardando di 5 minuti l'entrata, e subito ci fanno storie perché siamo dentro in 4 e non in 6 come da prenotazione, con conseguente cambio di tavolo. Il menu era alla carta, e a prendere le ordinazioni si presenta il manager, che dopo tre ordini di antipasti diversi comincia sarcasticamente a scherzare sul fatto che la cucina avrà da lavorare. Passando all'ordine dei primi, per altre due volte con arroganza costringe a ordinare piatti uguali perche se no la cucina deve lavorare. Giustamente innervosito da questa mancanza di personalità e cortesia, chiedo che a questo punto mi dicesse lui cosa noi dovessimo mangiare, facendo notare che il suo atteggiamento non era all'altezza della situazione. Gli animi si stavano accendendo e dopo essersene andato scocciato, non contento ritorna e con aria di sfida mi dice di piantarla e che sarebbe stato pronto a discuterne. Gli dico che non esiste che io vada a un ristorante in teoria di livello, spendendo almeno 70/80€ a persona e dover ricevere questo trattamento, e che se preferiva in 6 ci saremmo alzati e saremmo andati e che avrebbe quindi perso almeno 500€ per il suo atteggiamento. La sua risposta è stata "Ecco bravo, vattene". E cosi fu.

Io non ho mai visto ne sentito in tutta la mia vita un episodio del genere. Di posti dove si mangia bene ce ne è pieno il mondo, ovviamente sconsiglio...
