Worst service we had on Isola d' Elba. First off, we called and made reservations because we saw how busy it was the night before. We showed up 15min early and they said we didnt have a reservation. I spoke to the owner when making the reservation but he denied it when we were there. Once we were seated, our waitress was beyond rude. She came back every 5 minutes to see if we were ready to place an order. Didn't even really get a chance to review the menu. They are not Gluten Free Friendly. She had no idea what Gluten was and this is a problem for someone who has Celiac's Dz. We only got 1 bottle of water to share between 6 people even though we asked for more water. The food was gross. The fish I ordered was old. It smelled so bad, I couldn't eat it. I told the waitress and she said, sorry, you ordered it, you pay for it. We were drawn to this place because of the pictures of food other reviews left, boy were they wrong. Premetto che mi dispiace molto fare questa recensione, perché ci sono venuto a mangiare per 3 estati di seguito più di una volta, sia a luglio che agosto che settembre, quindi non è stato nemmeno un problema del periodo in cui ci si va. Purtroppo andare lì è come giocare a dadi, se ci si va dopo le 21:00, la qualità del cibo si abbassa molto, mi ricordo di aver preso uno spaghetto allo scoglio e una zuppa di pesce, metà pasta era cruda e la zuppa era piena di sabbia e vongole e cozze tutte scheggiate/rotte, presi stessi piatti la volta prima, prenotazione per le sette e mezza, ed erano buonissimi. Se fosse solo questo il problema sarebbe facile risolvere, basta andarci prima, ma qui viene il problema organizzativo, loro cercano di occupare tutti gli spazi nonostante le prenotazioni, mi sono presentato alle 8 per una prenotazione alle 8 e mezza, giustamente ho chiesto se preferiva che ripassassi e così ho fatto. Quando torno alle 8 e mezza i tavoli sono tutti occupati e dovevo aspettare 20 minuti per sedermi, dato che il tavolo prenotato è stato dato ad altri. Inoltre il tavolo che si stava liberando è uno di quelli sull'angolo lungo la strada (dato che non tutti i posti che ha sono belli, vi conviene chiedere esplicitamente di stare sulla parte davanti al porto se volete mangiare in un posto carino). Questo è tutto. Mi dispiace molto ma questa è stata la mia esperienza, una volta andava bene e una male, il prezzo è onesto, se è una serata si. Probably the best/nicest service I have ever seen on Elba. Great fish dishes and overall good value. Spectacular view and lovely people

Update: unfortunately I have to lower the rating since we stood in front of closed doors on Monday even though we had a reservation. Probably didn’t open because of the rain but could have at least left a sign. Other people were waiting for them to open as well. Very disappointing since we drove to Marciana just for lunch at...
