Soul Food — Restaurant in Melendugno

We went on April during the day (low season) so we were the only ones in the restaurant. The staff was very friendly. The views are stunning. Great food, very nice staff, and great view of the coastline.

I had the Edinburgh gin & tonic and it was excellent; my go to drink is a GT&lime and this was certainly a step above.

I also had the fried SoulFood seafood platter which was also excellent.

MAKE SURE TO ASK FOR A SIDE OF THEIR 'MUSTARD SAUCE'. Probably in the top three honey mustard sauces I've ever had.

Posizione molto buona sulla baia Torre dell'Orso che offre anche parzialmente una vista bellissima. Accanto c'è anche un ampio parcheggio che fortunatamente non si pagava al momento della nostra visita. Abbiamo pranzato e abbiamo preso un Antipasto di cruditè e fritti, uno Spaghetto con farine particolari, pomodoro giallo e vongole, un fritto misto, uno spumone al pistacchio e mandarino, un sorbetto mamgo e lime, 2 caffè, 2 bottiglie d'acqua, una grande e una da mezzo litro e 2 bicchieri di prosecco e abbiamo pagato 77 euro. Ottimo l'antipasto per chi gradisce il pesce crudo, lo spaghetto un po' avanti di cottura probabilmente per compensare la struttura e la densità delle farine e molto buono il fritto di pesce. Vorrei aggiungere che i piatti sono abbondanti. Il personale era cordiale e preparato e ci hanno spiegato brevemente i piatti. Sul finire, ma anche perché avevamo ormai superato le ore 15, il personale non era tanto reperibile. Tutto sommato abbiamo passato dei bellissimi momenti e consiglio questo ristorante agli amanti della buona cucina e anche a coloro che vorrebbero solo gustare un buon cocktail nella zona magari sulla terrazza per godersi...
