Ristorante Panta Rei — Restaurant in Messina

We just stumbled upon this restaurant after walking all around Torre Faro. It was on the lake and very quiet and romantic. Gaetano the owner was wonderful to us. He gave us a fish arrancini appetizer. I had the swordfish, the catch of the day, and my husband had smoked octopus appetizer which was amazing tasting and presentation. He also had the risotto with shrimp and sea urchin. That was delicious also. After dinner our host who knew we were American also offered us a shot of Amaro that was locally made. It was a wonderful experience....

Una bella scoperta immersa nella riserva naturale del Pantano Piccolo di Ganzirri,il posto suggestivo specialmente nelle ore del tramonto,locale elegante ben arredato di nuova costruzione,servizio attento e cortese,il cibo di ottima qualità,cucina tradizionale e contemporanea allo stesso tempo,consigliatissimo l'antipasto crudo e cotto per immergerti in un viaggio di sapori,Pepata di cozze abbondante( con obbligo di scarpetta),totano all'eoliana per farti sentire alle isole messinesi,la frittura mista di calamari(in tempura)e gamberi accompagnati da un ottimo vino frizzantino,per terminare la cena,torta setteveli pistacchio e cioccolata per un tocco finale di dolcezza.Ci vedremo presto!!Alla...
