Ai Due Orsi — Restaurant in Milan

Ai Due Orsi is one of my favourite restaurants when it comes to fish (although they also offer meat). High quality of fish (raw, boiled, cooked, grilled...) in any course (entries, first, second) and special care in preparation are really enjoyable. Portions are generous, normally I recommend to take an entry and a first or a second course, as it is worth to try their desserts. Last time I tried the warm entries, which are delicious, and went on with grilled swordfish and the home made tiramisu. If you wish, you may also help yourself with entries and vegetables. The choice of wines is wide, and coffee is good. The manager is genuinely welcoming, and personnel is very kind and patient. Even with kids, they are prepared to satisfy your requests, if you have any. They have a lot of space in the restaurant, but I always recommend to book your table. We entered it by chance, guided by hunger and the smell of good food as we passed by. An intimate, rich and homely place, I immediately found myself at ease. Rich menu full of local specialties. È un bel ristorante, molto famoso in zona in quanto esiste da parecchi anni. Fin da bambino ne avevo sempre sentito parlare bene...solo recentemente l'ho provato una sera per cena con amici. Allora, non è certo un ristorante dove è possibile fare "baldoria" e non badare di parlare a voce alta e via dicendo, è un locale elegante , molto ordinato, più adatto a famiglie o da andarci con moglie / fidanzata. Comunque, la qualità delle portate è molto buona sia per pesce che per carne ma la quantità è molto poca! Fatto sta che il rapporto qualità quantità prezzo è medio alto... 4 porzioni di primo che messe assieme fanno come un unico piatto di pasta di normale quantità. Branzino al forno con patate, discreto. Tagliata ?? Boh, la tagliata erano 20 pezzettini di carne su due vassoi, noi eravamo in 12... Però ci sono state servite 8 bottiglie di vino, buono. Il tutto a 38 euro a testa. Secondo me un po' troppo considerando anche la lunga attesa tra le portate. Comunque, anche se ho valutato solo 3 stelle, è da considerare come giudizio discreto. A 30 euro invece che 38 sarebbe stato decisamente più interessante e sicuramente...
